When your team is on the road for extended periods, supporting them becomes crucial. But how do you do it effectively? Here's a hack I've used: During a complex 5-night incentive trip split between two cities, I treated my team like VIPs. Each day/evening, I sent a room delivery: 1. Handwritten notes with encouraging quotes and/or specific recognition of their hard efforts 2. Special treats or gifts to brighten their day and/or before turning down for the night Why? Because we often forget that while we're busy taking care of others, someone needs to take care of your team too! This simple gesture helped my team keep smiling through long on-site hours, ensuring an exceptional experience for our winners and guests. Road warriors, what's your hack for supporting your team during extended trips? Share your tips below! Let's create a toolkit for keeping our teams motivated and energized on the road. #EventPlanning #TeamSupport #RoadWarriorLife #LeadershipHacks

I feel like this image should say: Even when it's my turn I will keep clapping for others. It's really that simple. Whether it's striving to succeed, experiencing success or when you're regrouping - taking a moment to applaud the achievements of another individual, demonstrates your depth of character. even if that individual is a competitor. yes, that's correct. Let me explain. Competition makes you stronger not weaker. Applauding, a competitors achievements recognises their strengths, can help you highlight your own areas of improvement as well as demonstrating your ability to look beyond your own goals and recognise that others have them and are willing to work hard to achieve them. Imagine being the person who receives recognition from a competitor in a relation to an achievement whether in sport or im business. I'm not wrong in saying that it feels pretty good. Now, imagine being the person who gives a compliment or applauds an achievement? I can guarantee you that the feeling of seeing the recipient be acknowledged is as deeply rewarding. It's definitely okay to clap for others, irrespective of our own station in life. Be strong, be smart, be humble. PS it's okay to applaud your own achievements too.

Life can feel like a race. Sometimes, we wait for our chance. But what if we celebrated others along the way? A few years ago I saw a friend get promoted. I felt a mix of happiness and envy. It’s normal, right? But instead of focusing on what I didn’t have, I chose to cheer for her. I clapped loud and proud! 👏 Why did I do this? - Support Matters: Cheering for others helps build a positive vibe. - Stay Grateful: Celebrating wins reminds us of our own strengths. - Connections Grow: When we uplift others, we create bonds. Emotional intelligence teaches us to recognize our feelings and those of others. It’s okay to feel left out sometimes. But it’s powerful to turn that feeling into support for someone else. Here are some tips to celebrate others while you wait for your turn: - Send a Congrats Message: A simple note can make someone’s day. - Attend Their Celebrations: Show up and be present. - Share Their Success: Post about their achievement on social media. Comment below with who you’re cheering for this week!

Hopefully people are doing the work they want and not have to... I can take hours or days and try to express the joy I get when I see our team smiling, ready to tackle the challenges that come each day. The picture below is just a sampling of what I see all the time. Pedro and Miguel are two of the best. They have grown with our company and they have led teams and grown teams. They do this with a smile all the time. Even after working long days, they still ask what else is needed. They know they have options and they know they can do anything. They choose to be a part of this team and help lead it into the next year. The smiles say it best, because as I said, I don't want people who feel they have to be here, the smiles say, we enjoy being here, we like what we do, who we do it with and why we do it. Over the next many weeks I am going to go into more detail about some of the key people who are here because they want to be here and who help make eos the company that it is. For the Holiday Season though, I just wanted to highlight the biggest smiles that make my days exciting. Hopefully you get to experience smiles like this at work. Hopefully your teams are wanting to be where you are and not feeling they have to be there. Let's make sure we recognize these amazing people. Feel free to share your experiences here as well. #frontlinefirst #commerciallandscaping #teamstrength #commercialsnowandice
