Fancy a look behind the waste management curtain? For this year's Sustainable Vaping Week, resource management leader Veolia has kindly provided the below video which shows used disposables being dismantled as part of the vape waste management process. Please note, the people depicted in this clip are professionals - untrained consumers and the general public should not attempt to replicate their actions. If you are a consumer who would like guidance on where to correctly dispose of your used devices, or a business which would like more information on producer and WEEE responsibilities, visit the recycle-vapes.co.uk website.

Research by Material Focus found that 70% of people threw away their disposables because they ‘didn’t know they could recycle them’. Similarly, a report from specialist waste management firm Waste Experts concluded that ‘consumers don’t try to recycle these products because they do not know they should or have easy access to a recycling option’. To support the correct disposal of vaping products, the UK Vaping Industry Association has published the below recycling guide which is also available to view on the recycle-vapes.co.uk website.
