One of the challenges we had at the time was to get enough participation to keep the Live Events going... it therefore stalled :-( You would expect people and companies want exposure to present their thinking on how they can help the glass container industry... but getting participation was difficult... maybe a little 'stage fright'? GIVE THE SAME ENERGY IF NOT MORE TO THAT VIRTUAL EVENT.✅ A virtual event is somewhat similar to a physical event because you have guest speakers, audience and of course the host/moderator. Interestingly there's a venue which is the online space and there's also an agenda which is the reason for the gathering in the first place. The only thing that differentiates a virtual event from a physical one is in the two words virtual and physical. At a virtual event there's no physical contact and depending on the platform used one might not get to see the people present but only hear them when they speak. However, like every event it deserves to go seamlessly! As a master of ceremonies(MC), I prepare for virtual events as I would for physical ones. I script my intro, body and outro. I imagine the event in my mind, think of possible glitches so I can stay afloat and communicate with my clients effectively on the results that they want from the event. You might wonder ah an all this for a virtual event?😁 Well, yes! All this and more is what I bring to the table to ensure a smooth flow at every event that I either host, co-host or moderate. It's always a pleasure to execute every job with steeze, excellence and lest I forget demure.🤭 For the clients that have trusted me so far I say thank you. It was an honor and pleasure to work on these audits for LEAF Global Arts Retreat and the 2023 Colorado Creative Industries Summit. The reason I love doing this work with Majestic Collaborations is the juicey overlaps of The of Mass Gatherings four pillars: accessibility, safety, sustainability and community engagement. These overlaps help frame how I look at the overarching questions for these events: who are you accessible to, what is working and what are the next possible steps to make your event more accessible, user friendly, and inclusive. In my mind, accessibility and community engagement go hand in hand, making your events more accessible means you can engage more people in your community. Accessibility and safety go hand-in-hand as well, your event can not be truly safe, unless it is safe fore everyone. So your safety plans need to address how to keep people with mobility, hearing, vision and cognitive disabilities safe. I like to say, build your safety plan around the specific needs of people with disabilities and your plan is 80% done. Accessibility and sustainability...there are many ways to think about this. One is just what do we need to sustain the people who come to our events and work at our events? Another, how do we build this temporary city (what festivals are) that allows for easy, safe and engaged navigation that respects the land the events is on. And then just how do we build in accessibility and sustainability from the beginning, from the first time we go to make a plan for this year's event, instead of either ever being an after thought?
