As we enter a new fiscal year, please help us thank our outgoing Management Committee members. These rockstar human beings have dedicated their time and expertise the past 2+ years advancing ULI's mission in South Carolina, growing the ULI South Carolina District Council, and fostering collaboration and the sharing of best practices in our markets. We are happy to say that all of these members will be staying involved either as members of the Governance Committee or Regional Executive Committees. And, please join us in welcoming these new FY25-26 leaders. Although "new" to these roles, these members are certainly not new to ULI, having been involved and leading in their respective markets around the state for several years. We are fortunate to have their leadership and look forward to continuing to work with them in their new roles.

Deloitte Canada & Chile, Chief Growth & Client Officer/ Speaker & Thought Leader Future of Health & Care, Catalyst 2030-Path to a Prosperous Canada. #Top 100 Most Powerful Women.
DeGroote School of Business - McMaster University McMaster Faculty of Health Sciences National Health Fellows, thank you for the opportunity to deliver the keynote at your closing dinner. You signed up for the program to be part of a movement to reimagine health and social care in the country. You worked on big problems and saw that the future is here –serious leadership required and that is where you come in. Be deliberate about your next 100 days. Create new habits to focus on Lane 2. Lane 2 is not BAU, it’s where the transformation happens. Commit to boundary breaking partnerships through radical collaboration; Create the conditions and expectations for collaboration with your teams and partners. Organizations with high levels of collaboration outperform peers. Remember, collaboration requires new competencies to handle the power asymmetry that exists in partnerships and to manage the dissonance that can/will emerge between payor/regulator and self organizing systems. Take care of governance early on by embracing it as an enabler, not an enforcer. Perhaps most importantly, understand that trust is based on competence and intent. Interpersonal trust is important, but organizational trust is more critical for sustainable collaborations. Assess organization trust with partners early on to ensure a match across a number of domains: financial trust, emotional trust, physical trust, digital trust, quality trust, etc. Trust accelerators include: 1. Agree on how parties will work together based. At Deloitte we use team charters 2. Declare what you or your organization is good at – competency + intent 3. Process learnings from previous collaborations: successes and failures 4. Truly embrace Transparency – this fosters trust and innovation 5. Be quick to share praise and celebrate success Looking forward to staying in touch. #ImpactThatMatters #Gratitude #Health Jodeme Goldhar David Price Michael Hartmann Andre Picard Tom Stewart Debra Sandomirsky Michelle Theroux Shanil Ebrahim Niraj Dalmia Deloitte

Multi award winning Career Transformation & Burnout Coach | I help ambitious people increase their confidence & articulate their value | Featured in Stylist | AllBright Columnist | Founder: The Glow Zone ✨
What a privilege it was to hear from Kruti Patel Goyal at the AllBright Step Forward Summit last week, and what a joy it was to see so many of our Accelerate programme participants there in person! Yesterday we looked at Chapter 5 of the programme, which specifically explores at how we define, communicate and articulate our value. I couldn't help but share this clip from the day because it's EXACTLY what we discussed in our sessions. Understanding your value comes from understanding yourself. What you like, what you don't like, your non-negotiables, how you treat others, how you like to learn, how you bounce back from setbacks, and what your triggers are. This self awareness helps you build relationships, demonstrate impact, and importantly, lead at any level. Knowing YOUR superpower and what you can uniquely do empowers you to not only communicate your value and impact, but helps you stay true to your values. The gold standard in any leader. Interested in being part of the conversation, building your capacity to be courageous, and own your career? DM me, we'd love to have you on one of the AllBright programmes. There's f2f and virtual options, you can join as an individual or as a team, and they can offer closed cohort programmes too ❤️🙌 #coaching #coach #allbright #womeninleadership

Group CEO at Old Mutual Botswana | Impact Leader | Certified Director (IODSA) | Non-executive Director
The privilege of leading: recently I attended the OML Top Leadership Engagement. As always, a world class event where top leaders across our businesses converge. The informal conversations with fellow leaders are as important and insightful as the formal sessions. In an informal conversation with a longstanding colleague we discussed the concept of leadership. One of the principals we discussed was that in many circumstances as leaders we have the opportunity, probably privilege, to impact the lives of others positively. As leaders the decisions we make have a lasting impact. In particular on the people who work in our organizations. We discussed some examples of decisions we made which materially impacted our customers and our teams positively. A particular example I voiced over was an opportunity I afforded one of my extended team which had a positive financial benefit. The default is to think that this would result in a new car appearing in the parking lot. But, when I enquired why they were almost overly excited about my decision, they explained that this would allow them to settle their bond early and thus allowing them to send their children to private school. Which in turn has long term benefits for their family and the wider community. Holding a position of leadership is a privilege! #dogreatthingseveryday

Some people are all about limelight. And it’s most painful to work with them if they are your managers. They will over commit to leadership without even having a discussion with you. They will take all the details of important products and present as if they have worked upon it. They will never add you to high level leadership meetings so that they remain the show stopper. And most importantly they will never share credit with anyone as if they have done it all. If you have a manager like that, the only way out is to sneak into his/her calendar continuously and get yourself invited in those meetings forcefully :)
