Trent, our summer intern for 2024, recently had a sit-down with our team for a fun Q&A session before he heads back to school. As he’s right in between his junior and senior years, Trent has been diving deep into various aspects of our company this summer. From getting hands-on experience in the shop to exploring sales, parts, shipping, field service and all three of our locations, Trent has truly immersed himself in the #JennerNation family. We’ve absolutely enjoyed having him on board this summer!
❓Q: What valuable insights did you gain from your internship?
❗A: I learned about the importance of a strong work ethic, as well as how this company maximizes profits and operates with efficiency.
❓Q: How would you describe our company culture?
❗A: Very unique. Everyone is very friendly. I feel that the many company events that happen help people build good friendships and make working here an enjoyable experience.
❓Q: How would you describe Jenner Ag as a place to work?
❗A: It’s a fantastic place to gain hands-on experience in all aspects of a company and build a career, not just find a job.
❓Q: What was the best part of your intern experience?
❗A: The best part of my internship experience was getting to work with a real company for the first time. Coming from a background of working on my family’s farm, this was a change for me. I believe that the experience helped me improve my communication skills and professionalism, which will be valuable for my future career.

Logistics, Warehousing, Supply, Deliveries, Lift Equipment Operation, and Customer Service
2moI don't suppose there is any other way to apply to your company or to get in touch with your hiring staff besides your online applications, is there? You have warehouse positions at three of your locations (Ontario, Reno, and Lacey) that remain open and that you keep reposting for which I am a quality candidate. I have applied to all three of these positions multiple times. But what I am almost certain is your AI application screener keeps rejecting my applications within a day or two for reasons I honestly and sincerely do not understand. My knowledge, skills, and experience fit your warehouse and material handler job descriptions almost perfectly. I can't imagine a "team of professionals" repeatedly committing such an error or glitch, which is why I am also almost certain that no human eyes are actually viewing/screening these applications. I am not sure what criteria you programmed into your AI screener, but it seems to be hindering you from properly staffing your company. I can see that dozens of other people have applied for these positions as well, and I am confident I am not the only quality candidate who is experiencing this perplexing response. Otherwise, you wouldn't have to keep reposting the job listings.
