💡Let me tell you about #Choices on #InternationalCatDay I'm in day 3 of officially caring for our long term VIP Visitor and his brother -who's always been too shy or too fearful to connect with me or my husband for the past 3 years. I've commited for 15 days. If I was an animal, I'd be a cat. A ginger cat. 🧡 For the physical skills, intuitive energy, resources and because I like my own company. 🐈 Independent, Intuitive, Resourceful, Resilient... 🐈 Flexible, Agile, Strong... 🐈 Cute... specially when we need others. As a petite human, cuteness has opened many doors but not always for the right reasons. Afterall, I'm human and I also use my brain to add value to 'cuteness' and a cat's soul. P.S. My role as a 'voluntary part-time carer' for Sampson (the ginger) and Kai (the black) only involved 2 visits a day: 'opening and closing a flap while putting food & water'...but unless they get to know me and feel safe, they won't eat. P.S.S. They need food as much as they need company. They need 🧡 P.S.S.S. Hello Muirhead families and followers… We recently shared the old video of our take on ‘the night before christmas’ and a conversation was had about what other stories we could put a Muirhead spin on for next year. Not wanting to wait that long, I started thinking about the best Christmas stories and films and wondered how I could connect the work we do. So here is what I came up with – our favourite Christmas stories and how Muirhead would have been able to help or what role they could have played. Elf – Buddy the elf is great at communicating his emotions and feelings (I love you, I love you, I looooove yoooooou!) however his dad – Walter Hobbs, really struggles. So Walter would have benefited from the week of our foundation work where we help our families to recognise emotions. Having an Elf arrive on your doorstep and finding out you have a big brother is going to be a period of change (even if they give you sugar for breakfast) so we would have wanted to help Michael's mum and dad understand how that might show up and what we could do to reassure him.
