This is called a 3d printer blob of death ☠️ and I just had a bad one happen in the engineering lab. Tough luck when we rely on the trusty printer to churn out parts for prototypes and tooling. ⚙️ In situations like these, there is no other option but to get the tools out to disassemble, assess the damage and order spare parts. 🔩 What I learned from this fiasco - have spare parts printed beforehand - ensure clean printbed and environment between print jobs. - Take the time to monitor the first few layers as they go down.
