I strongly believe the workplace will become the most popular social centre of our time. If you have a choice where you work, choices will be based on individual enjoyment, experience and opportunity. It will be a personal decision, not a boardroom vote. For me, beach clubs like Blue Marlin Ibiza, Nassau Beach and Nikki Beach Global, have always been an inspiration to me for how we deliver the OBS service to our members. Unlike bars and pubs, 'work' is generally a daytime activity and unlike gyms or places of exercise, consumption is for a more prolonged period, requiring higher levels of staffing and support. High performing beach clubs have a unique way for evolving the day and creating 'moments' consistently to keep you engaged. The big difference I am concious of is the level of indulgence vs purpose and regular requirement of our service. The workplace has a weekly need, vs drinking cocktails on sun lounger is probably a few times a year at best. So why the fundamentals are night and day, I try to seek inspiration from most service industries, and this seems to provide some great new ideas and concepts and hopefully we will look to develop in 24. #clubworking #oldbondstore #southampton

I’m pleased to say I have another big announcement! Hot on the heels of publishing Reimagine Place last week, I am very excited to say that I have also been working with industry leaders Simon Anderson and Hayden Ferriby to launch Next Phase, a new style of operations-led consultancy. We don’t just know the theory of what these sites should be and how they should operate; we’ve lived it in practice. We have been working with clients and highly skilled design teams who know exactly how to deliver schemes, from fitting out pop-up shops to delivering multi-million-pound developments. If you haven't taken a class with us before, here are a few useful tips ahead of your class:⁠ ⁠ 🐸 When to arrive 🐸 ⁠ If you haven't been to the studio before, please arrive about 15 minutes before the class start time so that you can fill in a short confidential health questionnaire and get oriented in the studio.⁠ ⁠ If you have been to the studio before, please arrive no earlier than 10 minutes before the class start time.⁠ ⁠ 🐸 Finding us 🐸 ⁠ We are located on Chestergate, next to the taxi rank. Our building is four floors and we are on the ground floor. For more details please take a look at the location page on our website. If it's your first time at the studio, allow a little extra time to find your way here.⁠ ⁠ 🐸 Parking 🐸 ⁠ For Saturday classes, we recommend parking in either Merseyway or Redrock car parks. You will need to have the Ringgo app installed to pay by card, or you can pay by cash at the machines. On Sunday, street parking is free or you can park for a reduced rate in one of the car parks.⁠ ⁠ 🐸 What to bring? 🐸 ⁠ You don't need to bring anything as we provide everything you will need. If you have your own mat, you are welcome to bring it.
