Once more we Rally! Today marks the 11th annual Purdue Day of Giving! Here are my top three reasons why #Igive: 1. Impactful Tradition: Purdue Day of Giving is not just a 1 day 24 hour fundraising event. It is a tradition that brings together Boilermakers from all over the world to celebrate one cause--Purdue! 2. Investment in the Future: Your contributions are not just another donation, by giving on Purdue Day of Giving, you are investing in the future of Purdue University. You're investing in the students and showing them you care about their success! 3. Supporting Student Success: Each gift has a direct impact on a student. Whether you give to an academic college, student organization, or athletic area, your gift directly goes to provide students with tools they need to succeed at Purdue. Don't forget to make your gift today and see if your company has matching capabilities to maximize your contributions throughout the year! https://lnkd.in/gvrd8SgM #PurdueDayofGiving #PurdueUniversity Purdue for Life Foundation

Executive Director at Bicycle Collective; Recycling Bicycles, Building Communities| Author-Porcelain on Steel: Women of West Point's Long Gray Line| Speaker | StoryTeller| She, Her, Hers
This document is a deep dive into Bicycle Collective's impact, programming, people, and finances for the past year. Producing the report is always a challenging yet gratifying process, because it allows our staff time to reflect back on the impact we have made in the communities we serve, the programming we have delivered, the bikes we have received as donations, and the smiles we have delivered to those most in need of a bicycle to help them get to work, school, or just get outside for a little exercise. Although the document looks back at the preceding year, it also helps us fine tune our focus on the future. What can we say about 2023 that hasn’t already been said? It was a big year of realizing long term dreams and goals, especially when we rolled open the doors in late November of our New Hub on 325 West and 900 South in Salt Lake City. As an organization, we still managed to maintain our measurable impacts across the state. No boring stuff in this report. We hope you will take a look and see what is possible when a collective group of passionate people join hands. https://lnkd.in/gnh-XsMs
We are proud to share our 2023 Annual Report, which looks back on a transformational year for Bicycle Collective. With profound measurable impacts in the communities we serve across the state of Utah, to building and opening our New Hub on 325 West 900 South in SLC, to another year of pulling off Bike Prom, we are grateful for all the staff, board members, volunteers, and clients who helped make this happen. https://lnkd.in/ggq3pFdQ

If you've talked to me about books in the last 2 years, you heard me talk about Formula X by Jurriaan Kamer. It's a crash course in building autonomous, collaborative teams that drive results...as fast as a Formula 1 race team. So rad to have Jurriaan on the most recent episode of Future Nonprofit. Link to the episode (and to Formula X) in the comments. 👈

Thanks Lizz! Every session about AI, an important emerging tool for our sector and one we need to take advantage of and do right!
Julie Wirtanen, CFRE and I were thrilled to see so many friends and colleagues, and to meet so many more, at the Association of Fundraising Professionals Colorado Chapter's Rocky Mountain Philanthropy Institute. The theme of "AI Doing this Right?" was timely and there were great sessions and conversations throughout the day. Congratulations to my fellow board members Chelley Canales, Carolyn Stevens-Wood, and the entire conference committee. And thank you to our terrific speakers and fellow sponsors. Carter, Advancing Philanthropy Worldwide was proud to play a part!

This is a transformational gift, in so many ways.
We are humbled, honored, and excited to be the recipient of a historic $100 million donation from philanthropist, businesswoman and longtime Spelman trustee Ronda Stryker and her husband William Johnston. Their gift is not only the largest in our history, it is the largest individual donation ever given to an HBCU, and larger than most gifts to higher educational institutions in America. We are delighted to share this news now, as 2024 marks 100 years since Spelman Baptist Seminary became Spelman College, a pivotal and meaningful time in our school’s history. $75 million of the $100 million will go to endowed student scholarships, helping Spelman College continue to attract the best and brightest students while reducing any financial barriers that prevent qualified students from enrolling or remaining enrolled. The remaining $25 million will be used to develop an academic focus on public policy and democracy, improve student housing, and provide flexible funding to meet critical strategic needs. This speaks volumes about how important investors are to helping organizations focus on their mission and how board leaders make an impact. The return on investment is high and allows the organization to strategically plan for a sustainable future. Congratulations to #Spelman College. As a nonprofit organization, we are always open to sharing how investing in CASA of HoCo can Change A Child's Story in foster care. #investinginpeople #TeamCASA #wegotnext

Superbowl Squares for the kids! In an effort to raise money for the Miles for Miracles Team from Boston Children's Hospital for the 2024 Boston Marathon I am lucky to run in, I am doing a Superbowl squares fundraiser to support these brave kids! $20 per square, 50% of the proceeds supports his fundraising goal, and 50% goes to the winners following each quarter ($250 for 1st, 2nd, 3rd quarters and final score). How it works: Once all the squares have been selected, we will randomly pick numbers from 0-9 for each team in the Super Bowl, and assign that number to a particular row or column. These numbers represent the last number in the score of each team. In other words, if the score is AFC 17 - NFC 14, then the winning square is the one with an AFC number of 7, and an NFC number of 4. Since this is a Fund Raiser, 50% of the proceeds will go to the Charity Organization, and the other 50% will be distributed among the Users with a Winning Square. GET STARTED Use the following links to either enter your picks or show the current picks. Enter Your Picks ($20.00 per square) FIRST Click on the link to choose your squares. https://lnkd.in/e8kB2gty Username: Marathon Password: Chuck Show All Picks https://lnkd.in/eP-xbVq3 THEN Venmo your payment to @chuckblanchette please add comment: Squares for The Kids! Your support means the world. With your help, we can directly impact the lives of these courageous children and their families by: - Providing critical medical care to kids, including those from your community - Offering specialized care for complex diseases, unmatched anywhere else - Backing over 3,000 researchers developing groundbreaking treatments and cures - Funding patient programs like music and art therapy, bringing joy during hospital stays - Assisting patient families in crisis with urgent needs like food, clothing, and housing - Delivering compassionate, leading-edge care to every child in need We're already 64% to our $10,000 goal, and with under 100 days left until the 2024 Boston Marathon, every step counts. Your donation matters—thank you for considering and for being part of this incredible cause! Join us in making miracles happen.
