Check out our latest blog post celebrating the conclusion of Pride Month! To close out the celebrations, our UltraProud Employee Resource Group (ERG) hosted a compelling panel discussion, "Allyship: Within Our Workplace and Beyond." Employees across the company engaged in a lively dialogue with thoughtful questions that sparked deep insights and invaluable learnings. Throughout the discussion, one resounding theme stood out: "Action" defines true allyship. We explored the nuances of allyship, acknowledging that it involves a continuous journey of learning, which includes making mistakes and learning from them. This journey is complex and demands safe spaces, ongoing dialogue, empathy, and self-awareness from allies and LGBTQIA+ individuals. At Ultragenyx, we reaffirm embracing diverse perspectives by amplifying the voices of our LGBTQIA+ colleagues. We recognize the significance of enabling our employees to live authentically and continue to foster an environment where everyone can thrive and #GoBeyondEveryday for the #RareDisease community. 🌈🌟 Celebrating Pride Month: Embracing Diversity & Inclusion 🌟🌈 As we celebrate Pride Month, I am reminded of the immense value that Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) brings to both society and high-performing companies like #Capgemini. Why does it matter ? * #Inclusion Fuels #Innovation: Diverse teams drive innovation. When we embrace different perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences, we unlock creativity and find groundbreaking solutions. Pride Month reminds us to celebrate our unique identities and harness them for collective progress. * Attracting Top #Talent: Companies that prioritize D&I attract top talent. Talented individuals seek workplaces where they feel accepted, respected, and valued. By fostering an inclusive environment, we create a magnet for exceptional professionals. * Enhancing #Employee Morale and Productivity: When employees feel seen, heard, and included, their morale soars. Happy employees are more productive, engaged, and committed to their work. Pride Month encourages us to uplift our colleagues and create a positive workplace culture. At #Capgemini we are proud of our commitment to D&I with notably our #Inclusive #Policies that ensure equal rights and treatment for all employees, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. From parental leave to professional growth opportunities, everyone has a seat at the table. We have as well our Our in-house networks, such as #OutFront, organizing conferences, reverse mentoring sessions, and awareness campaigns. These initiatives educate our workforce and promote understanding. This Pride Month, let’s celebrate our shared humanity, honor the contributions of LGBTQ+ individuals, and continue advocating for a fair and balanced society. Together, we can create workplaces where everyone thrives. #HappyPrideMonth 🏳️🌈🤝

Customer Experience Leader & Global HiPride ERG Lead @ HiBob | Passionate Advocate for LGBTQIA+ & Minority Inclusion 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
#pridemonth is here, but standing up for underrepresented communities is a crucial year-round job. So this month's HiBob newsletter issue is dedicated to diversity, inclusion, and #DEIB throughout the year. I highly urge everyone to educate themselves on what diversity, equity and inclusion actually means - and how it's historically been systemically tied to binary metrics. Inclusive policies, concrete steps and thorough safeguarding of LGBTQIA+ employees, and indeed other minority groups, should be top of mind for all companies - especially if you consider that 20% of Gen Z identifies as LGBTQIA+.

🏳️🌈 As Pride month is almost over, it's a good time for me, as CTO & MD of gridX and a member of the LGBTQ+ community, to reflect on what I do to support an inclusive workplace for our diverse, international team of 200 people all year round. One of the values we live by is 'come as you are'. During our all-hands team week (link to video in the comments), our People & Culture team hosted a workshop on diversity and inclusion. We learned that we do a lot of things right, including our open error culture, diversity and inclusion training, and on-demand professional support and coaching. And yet, we could be better, as I also learned that some employees have experienced situations where they felt excluded or marginalized. In my personal experience, the key to an inclusive workplace is the everyday behavior of all employees outside of training and workshops. So my key message of a recent video post to all employees was: - Everyone is expected to speak up if something doesn't feel right - trust that the other person is open to feedback - On the receiving end of feedback, listen unconditionally, don't judge and invite a conversation about how to do it better next time and - this is important! - act on it Especially the 2nd step is crucial in my opinion because it drives lasting change. As an LGBTQ+ person, early in my career, I sometimes felt excluded, and I learned that most of the time it wasn't my colleagues' intention to make me feel that way. When I brought it up, we had conversations that helped us grow as a team and trust each other more. And that leads to better business results. Tools like diversity training, surveys, etc. are important but cannot prepare us for every situation, so I trust and empower everyone at gridX to live by the above approach. Comments on my internal video message like "This spirit is what I love about working at gridX" or "This is what makes this place so special" make me very proud of the special team of people I work with and what we will accomplish together in our mission to build the world's most advanced energy management platform to enable the energy transition. What has worked in your company/team?

Inspirational Keynote Speaker & TEDx Presenter on inclusion setting goals and overcoming adversity | Head of Inclusion for Champions (UK) Plc | Giving you Business Growth & Diversity Strategies for Expanding Enterprises
Why is inclusion so important to me? My life is a powerful testament to the importance of inclusion. Sharing my journey of overcoming personal challenges, I have become a self proclaimed advocate for accessibility and inclusivity. I have strived to share a message that everyone, regardless of their abilities, has a story and we should not treat people the same we should in fact treat people in a way that ensures equal opportunities and recognition in society where everyone is different. My journey underscores the value of embracing diversity and the strength that comes from a community where every individual is respected and included. I have over the past 10 years shown dedication from my own standpoint to promoting inclusivity. The truth is that being inclusive not only enhances the lives of those individuals but enriches the entire community, making it more compassionate and understanding. So why would we all not think the same? #inlcusion #inclusionanddiversity #getbackup #jamiemcansh

𝗕𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗯𝗼𝘄 𝗕𝘂𝘇𝘇𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀: 𝗨𝗻𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 It's June, and social media has started to fill with rainbow logos and declarations of LGBTQ+ support from companies. It creates a glossy image of inclusivity, but does it truly reflect the company culture? This rainbow branding highlights a crucial point: company culture is often vague, covered in buzzwords and flashy office perks. So, what exactly is company culture? It's not just a mission statement plastered on the wall or a trendy office with beanbag chair photos. It's the code that shapes daily life – the unspoken rules and beliefs that determine if you feel valued and respected for who you are. It's the "way things are done around here" in the absence of formal oversight through colleague interactions and daily behaviors. Pride Month serves as a powerful lens through which to examine this term. Does a company's support for LGBTQ+ employees extend beyond a rainbow logo and limited-edition merchandise? Do they have concrete policies and employee resource groups actively promote LGBTQ+ inclusion throughout the year? True company culture translates these stated values into everyday actions, such as offering diversity and inclusion training, implementing anti-discrimination policies, and having zero tolerance for jokes or behavior that undermines LGBTQ+ inclusion. Otherwise, everything is just performative activism, which appears socially conscious during Pride Month without making any meaningful changes. This might involve "rainbow-washing" (using rainbow imagery for marketing purposes) with no real commitment to LGBTQ+ rights or inclusion within the company. The case can extend far beyond LGBTQ+ rights, including all aspects of diversity – race, gender, religion, disability, and more. Ultimately, it's not the flashy announcements or rainbow displays that define a company but their everyday actions. By dissecting these company culture buzzwords, we can truly understand what a company culture stands for.

Thoughts for Thursday 💭 🌈 Embracing Inclusion: Why Hiring LGBTQIA2S+ Individuals is Essential in the Workplace 🌈 As we celebrate Pride Month, it's crucial to reflect on the importance of diversity and inclusion in our workplaces.
