6moThis is great for research and conservation. As a mediocre fisherman, I’ve always struggled with the desire for better fish finding and the fear of it leading to over commercial and recreational fishing. Once this (YOLO-style count and species recognition) hits consumer products it will be interesting to see if/how the data is fed back to a central network, much like how Garmin devices will update water depths based on readings from other boaters.
