We present to you the topics of this year's lecturers😊 Klara Rusan The life of a product after the death of collaboration From the first conversation about collaboration to the final product, a sinusoid of communication takes place that spins in all directions. Priorities are overturned on the scale of importance (apart from finances, where it is always most important to pay as little as possible haha) and time usually leaks or is not there from the very beginning. What often falls to the lower end of that scale is the question of what about the product that lingers for a long time after all that panic and quick execution. It’s not a big deal when the book covers are in question. They "walk" around the window for a week and get ready to go back on the shelves. But the murals remain as long as there is a wall or a vandal. And don’t even get me started about architecture...which I won't talk about because I don't know much about it, but I want to talk about many other things. Drum roll please…Southern Sweden Design Days 2025 is set to explore the theme ECHO! The theme invites us to consider the dynamic relationship between past, present, and future. Like an echo, design is not isolated—it resonates, evolves, and influences its surroundings. Every design solution creates ripples, impacting both the environments it exists in and the people who interact with it. An echo is a reminder that every action leaves a trace, every design leaves a mark, and every creation leaves an imprint, affecting what comes next. The theme ECHO emphasizes the importance of the process – design as an iterative journey. Like an echo that grows with each reflection, design unfolds step by step, with each decision building on the previous one.  The theme is about interconnection – how design relies on interaction. Like sound relies on surfaces to bounce off, design often depends on interaction, response, and collaboration. — The graphic design for this year's festival is created by Bukett Grafik, @bukett.grafik — Each year a new theme is presented to inspire, promote creativity and new ideas for an exciting program. Three days, 22 speed dating sessions, and countless inspiring conversations with designers, architects, and lighting designers! Jannis Franzen and Sven Claes had the privilege of representing the PROLED GROUP at this year’s Europe darc sessions from May 14-16 in Troia, Portugal. 👉 Here are their key learnings and highlights from the event:  1. Efficiency through focus: By focusing on participants with in-depth expertise of the lighting industry, it was easy to immediately get to the point. We felt that every interaction was valuable and meaningful.   2. Quality over quantity: The caliber of attendees and the event's cost-effectiveness outshined many larger trade shows. The structure and precision were unparalleled, making every moment count.  3. Spotlight on innovation: Our smart tracklight series stole the show! The overwhelmingly positive response and the buzz it generated were very rewarding.   4. Networking: We had the opportunity to connect with key industry players, paving the way for future collaborations and putting us on the radar of the core EU lighting industry.
