They help us understand and empathize with others. 2. In REM sleep, your brain is very active and often creates vivid dreams. Dreaming may help with storing memories and managing emotions. 3. Neuroplasticity is the brain's ability to change by creating new connections between neurons. This ability stays with us, helping us learn, heal from injuries, and adjust to new situations.
