Building Information Modelling #BIM – How far have we come? The BSI considers the past decade of digital innovation – and looks ahead to the next… There is still much work to do if information management is to become “business as usual” within the built environment sector. The adoption / ROI of BIM by many had previously focused predominantly on design and construction, but we really need to utilize the information captured in these project delivery phases and ‘port’ it effectively into the operation and asset management phase. Industry reports suggest that we are currently wasting much of the information captured through information management, losing it in digital silos. This must change. Successful digital transformation will only take place if innovative processes and technologies converge and flow together. 📢 DELTA vision: Digital transformation in construction 🏗️Digital transformation in the construction industry is the process of introducing modern digital technologies to optimize all processes, from design to operation. In the modern world, digital transformation is becoming not just a trend, but a necessity for the successful development of the construction industry. 📌At DELTA, we are actively implementing the latest digital solutions to improve the efficiency and sustainability of our projects. Key aspects of digital transformation in management of construction projects: 📍BIM (Building Information Modeling): This technology allows you to create detailed informational models of the buildings that contain data on every element of the project. BIM not only improves coordination between all project participants, but also allows to identify possible problems at the design stage, which helps to avoid delays and budget overruns. 📍Cloud platforms: The use of cloud technologies for data storage and exchange provides access to up-to-date information in the real time for all project participants. This facilitates better coordination, faster decision-making, and reduces the risk of errors. 📍Automation of processes: The introduction of automated management systems allows to optimize the planning and execution of works, reduce time spent on routine operations, and increase productivity. 📍Data analysis: The use of big data and analytics secures more accurate forecasting of costs, timelines, and potential risks. 🗒️Digital transformation is the change in approach to the entire design process. At DELTA, we understand that the future of construction is a combination of human experience and digital technology. 🚀Our investment in digital transformation is the key to the modernity, efficiency, and sustainability of the projects, which guarantee our customers the best possible result. #DELTAAG #DELTAUkraine #BeyondBuilding #Construction #Digitaltransformation

*️⃣Absolutely, BIM (Building Information Modeling) and COBie (Construction Operations Building Information Exchange) working together can significantly improve facility management. Here's a breakdown of their contributions:⬇️ ☑️BIM: The Power of Building Information 1️⃣Centralized Data Model: BIM goes beyond 3D drawings. It creates a digital model of the entire building, encompassing its geometry and rich data about building components, systems, and materials. This data can include specifications, warranties, maintenance schedules, and more. COBie: Standardizing Facility Management Data ☑️COBie bridges the gap: COBie is a specific data format that extracts relevant facility management information from the BIM model. This standardized format ensures that the data can be easily imported into facility management software, regardless of the software platform used. Benefits of BIM and COBie for Facility Management ☑️Streamlined Operations: Facility managers gain easy access to comprehensive information about building systems and equipment. This allows for efficient planning of maintenance activities, reducing downtime and operational disruptions. ☑️Improved Decision-Making: Data-driven insights from BIM and COBie empower facility managers to make informed decisions about maintenance schedules, resource allocation, and budgeting. ☑️Enhanced Communication: Collaboration between various stakeholders is simplified. Facility managers can readily share information with maintenance staff, tenants, and other parties involved in building operations. ☑️Reduced Costs: By optimizing maintenance practices and extending the lifespan of building components, BIM and COBie can lead to significant cost savings over the lifecycle of a facility.
