Have you ever joined a company and felt like you needed to bring immediate value without really having all the pieces of the puzzle? Lucky for me my first task at Malt was to do an exhaustive Localization Audit, which allowed me to: - Get a 360° picture of everything that had been done in the company related to localization. - Align my strategy and roadmap to the company's OKRs. Sultan Ghaznawi was kind enough to invite me to the Translation Company Talk podcast as a guest to speak about how I conducted my audit: - What a Localization Audit is. - The steps I took to conduct it. - The list of areas I explored (quality, tooling, automation, internationalization, etc.). -Some practical examples of how your findings can be connected to KPIs and more. If you are curious give it a listen and let me know your thoughts.

When I started in the Localization industry one the challenges that excited me the most was how to measure the success of the work we do and how to communicate it in a way that resonates with other stakeholders. 📊 🎙 Today I finally have some tricks up my sleeve to connect the objectives of the localization role to the OKRs at a company level. In the last podcast interview I did for the Translation Company Talk I talk with Sultan Ghaznawi about ownership, OKRs and strategy. But most importantly, I give some examples to make sure your roadmap is aligned to that of your company, making sure localization becomes a proactive and strategic function.
