A region might refer to a country, like Nigeria, while zones represent different areas within that region, such as Lagos, Port Harcourt, and other states. When choosing locations for data centers, it's advisable to have them spread across different zones within a region to provide fault tolerance against any disaster. This strategy ensures that if one data center experiences an issue, others can maintain service continuity.
