100 Days in a New Organization: Reflecting on the Journey🌟 As I complete 100 days in my new role at Pantai Hospital Ipoh find myself reflecting on the challenges, growth, and incredible opportunities that have shaped this experience. When on the hunt for top talent, how often do you look inside your organization?   At GoTo Foods, our mission is to feed people and potential—and promoting from within is one of the strongest ways we’re living out the second half of that statement.   Effective leaders know the importance of having the “right people on the bus” and helping associates (especially those who have a strong cultural fit) find the right “seat” within the organization.   Part of finding the right seat—that role that perfectly aligns with someone’s skillsets, experience and expertise—is having the opportunity to try out different roles along the way.   Take, for example, two recent additions to our Executive Leadership Team: Lindsay Haynes, APR, VP of Strategic Brand Communications, and Marissa Sharpless, VP of Brand Marketing for Carvel.   Lindsay and Marissa both started at GoTo Foods on the exact same day in January 2017, both talented additions to our company’s PR team.   In their seven years here, each of these leaders has served in a total of seven (!) positions.   While most of these promotions were well-earned advances up the proverbial ladder, Marissa and Lindsay each also demonstrated a willingness to make the occasional lateral move in service to the company’s greatest area of need at the time.   That kind of long-term investment in GoTo Foods’ growth and success reflects a level of loyalty, adaptability and collaboration I am honored to serve alongside. Yesterday I hit the five-year mark at TING. Half a decade; It’s hard to believe I’ve spent half of my design career here. Time really flies when you’re doing what you love! Year by year I evaluate myself, I ask myself one simple question: Is there still room for personal and professional growth? Am I learning and progressing here? And the answer is and always has been YES. ✅ These last five years have been a period of massive growth for me, both on the personal and professional levels. ting has been more than just a workplace; it’s been a community where I’ve learned, evolved, and achieved more than I ever imagined. I’ve been fortunate to work alongside some of the most talented and passionate individuals in the industry, and their belief in me has pushed me to achieve things I once thought were beyond my reach. From getting hired to hiring, from being trained to training juniors, from self doubts to thriving with productivity, from creating small adaptations to designing Key Arts and Master visuals, from being an introvert to becoming a SPOC for a client, from feeling lost to leading a team, from struggling with problems to becoming a problem-solver, from being directionless to earning the 'Aye Aye, Leader' Award from finding a mentor to becoming one, from learning to still learning, five years of hustle with maximum effort, and yet I feel I'm only 1% done.
