Great way to begin the #Summersolstice, the longest day of the year and the start of Summer in the Northern Hemisphere with kicking off with CYBERSTAND.eu at our premises in Pisa, together with relevant actors to carry out the work that needs to be implemented from the European Cyber Security Organisation (ECSO), ETSI, CEN and CENELEC & the European DIGITAL SME Alliance. The next 36 months will be an important step for companies and organisations ro ensure #SW products are covered by the #CyberResilienceAct #CRA and similarly make sure certain processes are put in place following #SecuritybyDesign principles. Manufactureres wil have to continuously monitor products and carry our #ConformityAssessments all through continuous #Standardisationrequests. 🛡️ How should governmental organizations prepare their teams and systems for the potential cyber attacks? According to the report from CloudSEK, there has been a staggering 95% increase in attacks targeting the government sector during the latter half of 2022, comparing to the previous year. 🎙️ This was the main topic of discussion of the recent edition of the PassW0rd radio programme, where the Chief Operating Officer of CybExer Technologies, Aare Reintam, made an appearance to share his point of view on the subject. A year-and-a-half after launching its global secure-by-design initiative, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency is “thrilled” by the progress it’s made in getting vendors on board and now turning its focus to a new program aimed at drawing more attention to especially risky software-building practices. Rina Rakipi, who leads strategic partnerships and vulnerability program development at CISA, said Monday during ACT-IAC’s Imagine Nation ELC 2024 conference that the cyber agency has secured more than 230 voluntary commitments from software manufacturers under the campaign. Signing on to the secure-by-design initiative means that those vendors pledge to meet within a year a variety of cybersecurity goals — covering everything from the reduction of default passwords across products to increasing the use of multi-factor authentication and eliminating entire classes of vulnerabilities. https://lnkd.in/duQyBfpE
