Do you need a lifeguard at your pool? Here's a simple guide for you: General Rule: Any pool deeper than 5 feet (1.5 meters) should have a lifeguard. Safety first! For Kid: Surface pools (less than 5 feet) might still need a lifeguard if kids swim. Public Pools: Most public pools require lifeguards, regardless of depth. Keep an eye out! Home Pools: Consider hiring a lifeguard if your backyard pool is deep or often busy. This will give you peace of mind while you swim! Want to know more about it? It's pool season! Make sure you have a safe and fun summer by following these pool safety tips! 🏊♀️ Learn to Swim: Ensure everyone has basic swimming and water safety skills. Supervise children closely and teach them how to recognize and respond to distress in the water. Life Jackets: Use U.S. Coast Guard–approved life jackets as directed, especially for inexperienced swimmers. Secure Your Pool: Prevent unsupervised access by installing four-sided fencing around your backyard pool. Use self-closing and self-latching gates, and secure windows and doors with locks or alarms. Handle Chemicals Safely: If you store and use pool chemicals at home, follow product labels, wear safety gear (masks, gloves, goggles), and keep chemicals away from children and pets. Maintain Water Quality: Regularly check chlorine or bromine levels and pH. Proper disinfection helps kill germs and prevents swimming-related illnesses. Remember, safety first! 🌊 #realtor #titleinsurance #realestate #sandiegorealestate #SDrealtor #SanDiegoRealtor #SDrealestate #CTSD #ChicagoTitleSanDiego #sandiegorealestate #chicagotitle

Here are some crucial safety reminders: -Always wear a life jacket: Whether you're swimming, kayaking, or boating, wearing a life jacket can save lives in case of an accident. -Stay sober and vigilant: Alcohol and water activities don't mix. Stay sober and keep a close eye on everyone in the water, especially children and inexperienced swimmers. -Know the rules: Familiarize yourself with local boating regulations and navigation rules to prevent accidents and ensure everyone's safety. -Be prepared: Have essential safety equipment on board, such as a first aid kit and emergency signaling devices, and know how to use them in case of an emergency. Our firm has unfortunately seen too many boat-related accidents, and we want to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable Spring Break. Pool floats are fun, but remember, they're not safety devices! Here are a few reasons why: ☀️ False sense of security: Floaties can lull parents and kids into a false sense of security, leading to less supervision and potentially dangerous situations. ☀️ Slippery slopes (literally): Floaties can slip off, deflate, or flip over, leaving your child vulnerable in the water. ☀️ Delayed development: Relying solely on floaties can hinder a child's ability to learn proper swimming skills and body awareness in the water. ☀️ Obstacle course: Too many floaties can block movement and visibility, increasing the risk of accidents and making supervision difficult. #poolsafety #swimlessons #safety

This guy loves summer and swimming, as do most of us. We don’t want to be a buzzkill, but please remember just a few quick pool safety tips: • Always supervise children and pets near the pool, even if they know how to swim. • Install a fence around the pool area with a self-closing gate to prevent unauthorized access. • Keep lifesaving equipment, like a ring buoy or shepherd's hook, near the pool at all times. • Teach everyone in the household basic water safety skills, including how to float and call for help. • Avoid running or horseplay around the pool to minimize the risk of slips and falls. #TrustPointInsuranceandRealEstate #picoftheweek
