🌍 Do You Fit This Picture? 🌍 Like many of our host families, they weren’t sure they "fit the picture" at first. After all, who really feels ready to welcome a high school exchange student into their home? Some thought their lives were too hectic, too quirky, or maybe even too quiet. But they quickly discovered that being a host family isn’t about perfection—it’s about openness, curiosity, and a willingness to share your world. Whether you’re a traditional family, single parent, retiree, or empty nester, the one thing all our families have in common is a desire to connect with someone from across the globe. Through hosting, they’ve created new traditions, learned about different cultures, and built lifelong bonds—experiences they never imagined would enrich their lives as much as they have. 👉 Learn more about hosting and take the first step in your cultural exchange journey here: www.iseusa.org 📚👨👩👧👦🌏 #ISEUSA #LetsHostAmerica #CulturalExchange #GlobalConnections #OpenHeartsOpenHomes

Fractional Head of Growth and Solopreneur 🚀 Helping Seed to Series A B2C companies grow | Sharing the journey along the way
Three key takeaways after spending 5 weeks in NYC 1️⃣ The density of interesting and ambitious people is unmatched I came away from my time in New York feeling super inspired. It felt like everyone I met was doing something really interesting, whether personally or professionally. I met folks who were starting or running companies, building a side hustle, exploring different ideas or experimenting with lifestyle design just to name a few. 2️⃣ The level of ambition is on a different level Similarly, everyone I met pushed me to think bigger. Whether it was around pricing, lifestyle design, revenue, or new ideas, every conversation was met with a “yes and”. Yes and have you thought about x? Yes and what if you tried y? I’m leaving with an abundance mindset and a feeling that opportunity is everywhere. 3️⃣ Its an intense place to live NYC is expensive. Its crowded. Its loud. Over time, these things definitely wore me down. By the end, I was feeling really tired and in need of a break. Since I only had just over a month, I really tried to make the most of it. I was going at 150% the entire time. 1-2 meetings or events Mon to Fri every week. Obviously that level of intensity is not sustainable, so on my next visit I’m definitely going to try and take it a bit easier! To everyone I met and everyone I had the chance to reconnect with - thanks for making it such a fulfilling and inspiring trip! See you soon!
