How do you make a goal even more exciting? How about adding some of these portable corner targets. Use them at your club, garden or even down the park. Make training more fun and a great accessory to have in the boot during the Easter break too. They come as a set of 2 and can be used in the top corners or bottom if you prefer so that's why some people get a couple of sets. Also available in a gift set together with football too. #Targets #SpringFun #RefinedGoals https://lnkd.in/eT8-ybpp

Croke park v Lansdowne road…? Like Irish unity there’s a thought you’d think might never happen. However, money always talks. It could solve a lot of problems- 1. Athmosphere “Compared with the regular Six Nations crowd, the World Cup attendees were younger and more boisterous, drawn from across the spectrum of sports. When it comes to spring, many of those supporters find themselves locked out by the model that sees the union distribute their tickets through the clubs, who often bundle at least some of them and sell them to corporate entities and travel companies. The income they generate funds the sport at a local level, but an additional capacity would allow the union to investigate ways to tap into the latent interest from the World Cup” Enjoyment- It will stop the boozers in the stands destroying the enjoyment of the others. Far more can attend. Money- It would generate a lot more, and perish the thought, the IRFU might even reduce prices to encourage real fans. So how about leaving the RDS and Lansdowne road? Allow Leinster use it. The GAA use it. More Concerts. As the IRFU don’t really care about their Patrons once they get their money that won’t be an issue. They side step a changing culture towards boozing.
Ruaidhri O’Connor: Croke Park is looming large over Irish rugby – can the IRFU resist its lure?

5 tips for improved community engagement. Sports clubs have a key role in helping people in the community to stay active. We have 5 key objectives 1. To offer FREE open days to people to increase engagement 2. To make access to coaching straightforward for those who haven’t played recently or have never tried the sport 3. To get our club coach, Ian Gillespie, in to schools to support them with the key message that sport has many benefits 4. To offer sessions that do not require membership to be taken up. This ‘pay and play’ offer allows people to try out the sport without full commitment. 5. To offer both fun, social tennis sessions and more competitive sessions to suit all. https://lnkd.in/dh8Vtm96

Ranton with Anton - The Rugby One I have just finished listening to Wayne Barnes book "Throwing the Book" and also am busy watching a referee behind the scenes programme on YouTube, and I have always thought rugby looks after itself when it comes to match day officials, but quite honestly I am absolutely disgusted learning that a sport that so called squeaky clean and respects its officials in fact is let down but supporters who quite frankly are off their heads. To insult referees is one thing, but to threaten them with violence or even worse to threaten their families is vile and I am sorry to say, some people need to look at themselves. To those that perpetrate such violence, need to think this: If it was you or your family how would you respond. If your family was subjected to social media bullying, how would you react? This is the same for trolls and other social media bullies on all forms of social media. Social media is here to promote, learn and to broaden your horizons. It is not here to subject others to your vile views. Dont get me wrong, we all disagree and have disagreements, but at no time should you or are you permitted to get personal and even worse, take your vile threats towards family members. I am all for debate, but not personal insults or indeed personal threats towards their family members. To those people who have sacrificed time and family to allow me to enjoy rugby union I say this: I am so sorry for the actions of idiots and am so sorry for the level of threat you have had to put up with because of some people's belief that they are able to insult or threaten you because of your decisions made on the pitch. James Ryder I am wondering if this is evident at grass roots level or are the idiots just living the international game dream? #lifeisforliving #thanksforyourtime
