Stroke Awareness Tuesday! There are so many medical professionals that help stroke survivors during and after their strokes. This series is my way of recognizing and thanking these amazing people, as well as encouraging survivors to seek out these people when they need them. This week we talk about dieticians. Since what you eat is a huge part of how your body works, knowing how to eat right for your situation is critical. A dietician can really help with this. #strokeawareness #StrokeAwarenessTuesday #AmericanStrokeAssociation

Receiving timely medical care can mean the difference between disability or worse, which is why knowing the symptoms of a stroke can save lives. May is National Stroke Awareness Month, and a good time to discuss the warning signs. If you’re not sure if it’s a stroke, remember the acronym BEFAST—watch for sudden changes in Balance, Eyes, Face, Arms, and Speech.
