Democracy in action...
One of the many things I appreciate about Ron Ben-David is the ability and moral courage to think both expansively and practically for the public good.
It's widely recognised that democracy - government of the people, for the people - is facing strong headwinds in the West. At a time like this, we need more, not less, of the considered, respectful contest of ideas from the bottom-up. True democracy cannot ultimately be outsourced to top-down official fiats.
Whether readers agree with every point made is *not* the point. All intelligent, considered arguments must be engaged with for a public policy process to be considered trustworthy. (Sidenote: perhaps it's no coincidence that we are now continuously noting the loss of trust in the energy sector).
I for one am appreciative of the contributions that such colleagues make. Thank you, Ron, for practically demonstrating a healthy democratic process in action.
Congratulation to the entire Uniper Energy Storage team for the success!
