Known as the P1800 Cyan, the restomod is built to order using an original donor P1800 coupe from the 1960s. The work done to the cars is extensive. Cyan's team rebuilds the body with modern materials, widening the track and repositioning the greenhouse in the process. The resulting car is a track monster, as you would expect coming from a company whose main business is professional racing. However, some customers have requested a P1800 Cyan tuned for long-distance driving along winding roads, leading Cyan to develop a grand touring-inspired version. “The new version highlights the versatility and almost endless tailoring options of the Volvo P1800 Cyan, adding another dimension to our interpretation of the original model,” Christian Dahl, Cyan's CEO, said in a statement. These include a softer tune for the suspension, which consists of double wishbones at both ends, along with adjustable dampers. A plush interior can also be installed, with extra sound deadening material should the buyer desire. Power comes from a 2.0-liter turbo-4, just like in the original P1800 Cyan. However, the engineers tuned the engine to be more pliable rather than deliver raw power. Buyers can choose between outputs of 350 hp and 420 hp. Either configuration provides serious performance since the car's curb weight comes in at less than 2,200 pounds. It was #technically #pioneering, significantly #raised the performance bar and is probably the most #significant V8 model to ever come out of #Maranello. Although the F355 Berlinetta replaced the 348 TB, it looked quite #different. In place of the 348’s sharper and more angular #design, the F355 Berlinetta saw a return to more #classical #elegance: it was a more curvaceous car with clear styling cues from the much-loved 308 GTB and ’80s GTO. #Engineering-wise, the F355 Berlinetta was a step-change ahead of those earlier #cars. While it was #mechanically based on the 348, the F355 Berlinetta’s #engine was much modified. Its #innovative five-valve-per-cylinder #V8, which grew in #capacity from 3.4 to 3.5 litres, had the highest specific #horsepower per litre of any #naturally #aspirated engine (power leapt to 380cv over the 348’s 300cv). A90 Supra 108mm Outer Flange was Made 2 years ago for Titan Motorsports to use in development for the new A90 Supra. In development, we tested tolerances and fitment for 90mm, 100mm, and 108mm axles and determined that most customers using these cars would be ok using just the 90mm or 100mm because of the axle size. So, we will reduce the form factor of this 108mm flange to convert it into a joint with the bearing encased inside the flange itself, making it a lower profile for better shock clearance. The difference between an 90/100mm vs a 108mm axle set is the shaft's diameter and the bearing's size used to distribute tq to the hub. In this case, the 90/100mm uses a 30mm 33 splined shaft, but the 108mm uses a 35mm 28 splined shaft. The difference in splines reveals that the larger diameter shaft has larger splines to increase endurance and durability over the 90/100mm design. This means that the larger shaft is superior, allowing more surface area for the distribution of TQ from the differential, making it ideal for drag racing and drifting! 90/100mm is suitable for street, track, and drag racing, where suspension needs to stay in more of an OEM design. Using an upgraded hub, the knuckle would easily clear these massive 108mm axles and handle all the demands exceeding the 1500hp mark for these A90s.
