If you work and study outside Canada, your work experience counts in Express Entry. If you work while you study in Canada on a study permit, then your work experience does NOT count in Express Entry. Why??? I have never been able to understand the logic here. Same applies to self-employed work experience. It counts if outside Canada, but not if it is inside Canada. Hence, discouraging a lot of work permit holders from embarking on an entrepreneurial journey. One would imagine, that its easier to verify and validate work experience inside Canada and hence should have been allowed. Your thoughts?

How Can I Get A Canadian Work Visa? The Canadian work permit has two types and so you cannot apply for the two of them at once, you will have to pick one that suits you better. We are going to look at the two work permit and how you can apply for them. Open work permit Employer-specific work permit Open Work Permit If you are going for the open work permit, then you will be allowed to work for any employer in Canada without being restricted to a particular work position and also work anywhere in Canada. With the open work permit, with a positive Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA). The LMIA is a document issued by the Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) to employers in Canada to enable them to hire foreign skilled workers to fill up job positions in specific areas. A positive LMIA shows that an employer needs foreigners to fill up labour shortages and that there are no Canadian citizen or permanent resident available to fill up that job position. There is a work permit you can apply for under the open work permit. It is the Post Graduate Work Permit (PGWP). Let's talk briefly on it.

RELOCATING FOR WORK? Work relocation can be a daunting task, with many factors to consider. It's important to not only think about the present but also how it may impact you in the future, professionally, financially, and even socially. As someone who has lived in 4 different countries, 4 different states, and worked with candidates who have had to make these decisions, I have some experience with relocation. If you're considering a move, I came across an interesting article that outlines some helpful ways to decide whether to make the move or stay put. Check it out: https://lnkd.in/g4ETAUXY

Now here is a prime example of using work from home policy to its max output. An unplanned Public holiday can be a risk to your business and overall productivity. Which can be managed in a way where the organisation and the individuals can minimise the risk to their benefit. Classic Risk Management. Work from home allows the organisations as well as individuals to manage routine tasks, clear off back logs and create/adjust your planner with a free mind; I believe. It also allows a number of others to enjoys their time with their families. So keep shining Sir; I had someone asking me about type of risks you may face while managing a business. It seems a lot of us did not know the definition of risk and risk management; as it is a whole subject on its own. That has been the underlying cause for a number of failures in Digitally Propelled Organisations. Here is the question to the rest of leaders in Pakistan, which one of you has unplanned public holiday as part of your risk management, risk register and business continuity planning. How many of you have a plan to manage the risk. How many has Work From Home Policy as a measure to mitigate such a Risk?? Lets see if the leaders from any of the leading digital organisations respond to the question. I was going to name a few however I think better to save the face of some. Once again, thank you for setting an example, proving hybrid working can be done. Yes a smile would have made some people believe you are enjoing it, I think otherwise. When you are at it, must stay at it it👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Work from home.. So no holidays

START UP VISA OPEN WORK PERMIT CLARIFICATION (8th October 2024, based on communication from IRCC to Designated Organizations) For applicants who have submitted their permanent residency (PR) application before 30 April 2024, even if the applicant did not receive their Acknowledgement of Receipt (AOR) letter, they can apply for the Open Work Permit along with proof that they have already applied for PR. For applicants who submitted their PR application after April 30th, 2024, they need to wait to receive their AOR before submitting their work permit application. But in an encouraging development, IRCC says that it is expected that henceforth the AOR should come faster than it did for applications received prior to 30 April 2024.
