🌟 Space Symposium Success! 🌟 After a great week at the Space Symposium, we're sad to leave all of our friends at the Spain Space booth but are happy and eager to apply the lessons we learned while we were there. 🌐 At Satlantis US, while we mainly focus on earth observation for emissions detection, if we didn't look outwards into space, we would never be where we are today. This exemplifies an important life lesson we all must remember: you must seek innovation to find improvement. Even if the subject matter is not the exact same area of relevance, new discoveries can always be made, and could mean a breakthrough in other areas where never thought of or seen before. 🧠 💡 Ok, putting life lessons behind us now, we can't wait to see what breakthroughs we make next. Whether it be the secret to artificial gravity or finding emissions leaks never seen before on Earth, you'll hear it from us first. During the first week of October, me and Katriin Kristmann had the opportunity to attend the International Astronautical Congress in Baku, Azerbaijan. This was my first time and it was very insightful! IAC is an annual platform to raise important matters in the space sector, talk about latest achievements and meet the people who are behind all of this. Attending talks, listening to panels and talking to organisations at the expo area, few points stood out this year ➡️ 👉🏼 We are going back on the moon and already VERY soon. This time, it's going to be a whole lot different and we have to take care of our closest celestial body at least as carefully as our own home, planet Earth. 👉🏼 Space sector has entered the era, where satellite data is not scarce resource anymore. The thing is that very few know how to use all of this data. 👉🏼 We need to look into problems here on Earth and think where we could use this detailed Earth observation data. 👉🏼Space is an wonderful field and more people need to have access to it. As said, we are entering a new era where we need not only STEM people to understand what is going on, but rather all of humanity to step into discussion about exploring and moving further into deep space. Now more than ever, we need to learn to make space exciting and not scare people away with highly technical talks. Let's open space for everybody! We at Space Ambition dream of seeing a human landing on Mars. 1.5 years ago we started writing articles on space topics to bring this event closer. Today we are happy to announce that our co-founder Marat Airapetian participated in the Mars analog mission, which took place in March 2024 in Armenia. He wrote an article on the hot footsteps of the mission. On 20th May, Fondazione E. Amaldi was invited to participate in the Analog Frontiers event, co-organised by SEDS Italy and the Space Pioneers Association, held at the Italian Space Agency. During the technical session, ‘𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗶𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆: 𝗘𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵'𝘀 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻’, Eleonora Zenobi, Junior Project Manager of the Life Sciences Department , explored the possibilities and challenges of conducting experiments through the Analogue Missions in the research fields in which the Fondazione E. Amaldi is a key partner for the ecosystem and currently engaged in using Space as an accelerated model to improve the quality of life on Earth. The event focused on the functioning, objectives, applications, activities, and procedures of the Analogue Missions while special attention was paid to the scientific value that these missions bring to the field of space exploration.
