There was news yesterday that Uniswap Labs (the corporate entity which represents the Uniswap Protocol and DAO) received a Wells Notice from the SEC. Essentially a preliminary warning to inform of impending legal action from the regulator. With Uniswap being one of the best faith actors within the Crypto space this came as a surprise. Having said that, the SEC also pursued Coinbase who I would hold in equally high regard (a case which Coinbase look to be on the verge of winning). No matter what the outcome of the case, the Uniswap Protocol (which is a set of smart contracts deployed on multiple public blockchains) will live on, which makes the whole case seem rather futile.
