Most cross-chain dapps will eventually be operating on a hub and spoke model for running their core operations efficiently. The obvious benefactors here will be cross-chain messaging solutions, but the non-obvious benefactors will be highly performant chains. Why? 👇🏻 A) You want to be running your core contracts on a chain where computation is the cheapest. This is to keep interaction costs as low as possible for users on all chains. B) You want the hub chain to have the sufficient throughput to handle all the incoming requests from N chains. Pike Finance recently announced their Purple ecosystem initiative with Monad as the hub chain, and this is the first of many such initiatives in the future. There are other protocols planning to launch on 20+ chains who are considering to deploy the master/controller contracts on Monad for the same reasons. The cross-chain future is exciting because it helps solves for liquidity fragmentation in the broader web3 ecosystem. It's even more exciting to me personally because Monad will help power a lot of these cross-chain experiences in the future.
