Protocols deployed on multiple chains are susceptible to numerous attack vectors protocol builders should be aware of. ⛓️ Check out this list and let me know what’s missing 👇 1️⃣ Pre-deploy/compile contract addresses can be different. Double-check before deploying on a new chain! 🔎 2️⃣ ERC20 tokens can behave differently across chains. For example, USDT/USDC have 6 decimals on Mainnet but 18 on BSC. 😓 3️⃣ Protocol versions can vary. You might have V3 on Mainnet but only V2 on Polygon. 4️⃣ Gas fees can differ drastically. Be cautious if you’re making any assumptions about gas costs. 5️⃣ Incompatible, missing, or different opcodes. One recent example from a contest - a protocol using selfdestruct found it behaves differently on Blast compared to Mainnet. ‼ 6️⃣ Non-compliance with EIP712 can open the door to replay attacks. ⏭️
