☝️ Have you ever had a random conversation on a train that inspired you? On the way back from the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, one of our co-founders, Léon Bérelle, found himself sat next to Dr. Heïdi Sevestre, a glaciologist, lecturer, TV host, and active member of climate change initiatives like AMAP. Their conversation proved transformational, filled with mutual passion for our planet. Inspired by their discussion, Leon adjusted his schedule to attend the Tech for Climate ? event, to bring back valuable information to enrich our CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) policy. He engaged with climate experts and explored actionable steps we can take to make a difference. The insights gained were truly eye-opening. At Unit Image, we believe in the power of small changes to make a big impact. While the animation industry often relies on extensive computing resources, we're committed to reducing our carbon footprint. Since its creation we have put in place CSR initiatives including: - 🚫 A no-paper policy - 🌱 Partnering with suppliers who use organic products and electric transport - ♻️ Composting and recycling in our kitchen - 🌷 Securing a gardening box outside our studio - 🌡️ Installing an air filtration with double flow ventilation system for heating and cooling What's next? 🤔 We aim to leverage the millions of views our films generate to support causes we care about. We plan to create more impactful videos and engage in projects that deliver meaningful messages. You can check out one of our previous projects "Le Bete" produced alongside BETC Paris and FLAC (Federation Fighting Against Corrida) that denounces bullfighting, https://lnkd.in/dP-26TQr as an example. Together, we can achieve great things and Leon's train conversation was a powerful reminder of that fact! #UnitImage #CSR #ClimateAction #Sustainability #Animation #ImpactfulStories #Tech4Climate #AnnecyFestival #EnvironmentalResponsibility
