Quality Engineers - one of those roles that seem to be defined slightly differently in each company. But the general gist is that they improve and define quality more than they control it. This function is an engineer foremost and quality of products and processes is field that they're engineering. That makes it a more technological and improvement-focused role than QA or QC specialists. Maybe your company doesn't have quality engineers, but if you do have process/product engineers, process technologists or process specialists, then you basically have this role under another name. These roles are not always in the quality department - perhaps yours are with New Product Development, Technology, or even in Production. Whatever the name and department, these roles are the main practitioners of Six Sigma and also very important for the Quality pillar in TPM-like systems. #continuousimprovement #qualitymanagement #sixsigma https://lnkd.in/eqZJHpaj
