If you notice any lump or abnormality in your breast, surrounding areas, or armpits, it's essential to have it checked by a healthcare professional as soon as possible. Around 40% of women have a breast density measurement of BI-RADS b. Women in this category have breasts with a lot of fatty tissue and scattered areas of fibroglandular tissue. Women with breasts in this category are classified as having low breast density. On a screening mammogram (pictured), fat appears dark and glandular tissue appears white, so a mammogram of breasts with low breast density can more easily show abnormal findings, including breast cancer which typically shows up as white. A breast density category of BI-RADS b is more common in older women, as breasts become less dense with age. If you have a breast density measurement of BI-RADS b - it is still important that you have your regular breast screen (every 2 years) and be breast aware between screening appointments. All women who screen at #BreastScreenSA receive information about their breast density in their results letter. Find out more about breast density on our website: https://lnkd.in/gesQePnN

For many patients, Dry Mouth is not simply a mouth that's dry. Moderate-to-severe dry mouth can interfere with swallowing, speaking, chewing, tasting, and sleeping. Many have tried multiple products and gotten little relief. That's why we introduced the Summer Starter program - to give patients the opportunity to try clinically-proven, prescription strength Aquoral. Its lipid-based formula forms a protective coating of the oral mucosa, offering relief to many and helping to reduce future decay. The program ends soon so now is the time for patients to experience Aquoral! #DryMouth #xerostomia #sjogrens #headandneckcancer #thyroidcancer #radiationtreatment Bennett Blakeman Christopher Di Lascia Alessandro Villa Tom Viola RPh Jo-Anne Jones Kristin Winter MEd, CCC-SLP Mary Kelly MS, RDH, CDP Jill Meyer-Lippert Tom Botsford Jaisri Thoppay DDS, MS, MBA, DipABOM, MSHA, Support For People With Oral And Head And Neck Cancer (SPOHNC) ThyCa: Thyroid Cancer Survivors' Association, Inc. Consistent sunscreen usage can be the difference between healthful, glowing skin versus premature aging, skin damage, and even skin cancer. According to the CDC, melanoma is the most common cancer in the United States, and the risk increases with age. However, to ensure consistent sun protection, choosing an environmentally responsible sunscreen option is often overlooked. We at Seaside Sustainability Inc. are dedicated to reintroducing this crucial information into the sunscreen conversation.
