6 SIMPLE TIPS TO KEEP YOUR TUBULAR BATTERIES PERFORMING AT THEIR BEST – DON’T MISS #3! At Natureway, we understand the importance of reliable solar power systems. Tubular batteries are a popular choice for their durability and reliability. Here are six essential maintenance tips you shouldn’t miss to keep your tubular batteries in peak condition: 1. Keep Them Cool and Ventilated: Position your batteries in a cool, well-ventilated area to prevent overheating and prolong their lifespan. Avoid direct sunlight and heat sources. 2. Regularly Check Water Levels: Monthly checks are crucial. Always top up with distilled water to maintain the electrolyte level between the maximum and minimum marks. Never use tap water, as it contains harmful minerals. 3. Keep Them Charged: Ensure your batteries are consistently charged, even when not in use. Prevent deep discharges to avoid sulfation, which can reduce efficiency and lifespan. 4. Avoid Overcharging: Invest in a quality charge controller to prevent overcharging, which can cause overheating and damage the battery. 5. Clean Battery Terminals: Prevent corrosion by regularly cleaning the terminals with a wire brush and applying petroleum jelly. 6. Inspect for Physical Damage: Regularly inspect for cracks, bulges, or leaks. Replace damaged batteries immediately to avoid hazards. By following these tips, you can enhance the performance and longevity of your tubular batteries. 🌟Exciting News! We’re thrilled to announce that registration into our 3 months apprenticeship/ internship program have commenced. Classes starts by July. 💥 This is your chance to learn inverter assembling, repairs and installation from the best and join the #renewableenergy revolution! Interested? I once admitted to a room full of water and wastewater operators that engineers don't know everything. You know what happened next? They 🥳 cheered and 👏🏽 clapped! ..😅 You see, there's an age-ol' #stereotype that engineers consider themselves superior. That whatever solution they design WILL work. But if you ask those executing those very designs, they might have a different opinion. I've seen this in university and even in the workplace as early as my internship days. Engineers today are definitely making that stereotype history! And who is more "today" than our beloved #GenZ? Check out Water Canada magazine's latest feature (https://bit.ly/WCAug2024) where we tell you about some incredible engineering students who are disrupting the status quo to help change this perception. Read about a capstone project where Water Movement guided these #GenZEngineers to bridge the connection between #engineer and #operator AND find a #solution that works.
