Changed an inverter on an electric bus as well as the high voltage contactors in the main batteries. This inverter converts DC current from the battery to wheel speed (variable AC) and then also uses regenerative braking power (AC) and converts that back to DC for the main batteries. I believe this e-bus drove thru deep water as there was a lot of grime and leaves above the skid plates.

Neat idea using the motor windings as a transformer for a boost converter while charging. Also exposing all the winding leads allows for a Wye to Delta transformation to meet the performance requirements better than compromising on one or the other. Smart. https://lnkd.in/gT4xa3rA

Today’s electric cars typically carry on-board chargers that manage power flow bidirectionally between the vehicle and the grid for operations such as V2G (Vehicle to Grid), V2L (Vehicle to Load), and V2H (Vehicle to Home). The 62000D also offers a pure electronic load mode with constant current (CC), constant power (CP), and constant resistance (CR) control, especially useful for simulating battery charging behavior during development and testing of BOBCs.
