🍁 B.C. Solicitor-General Mike Farnworth says the federal government should restore police to Canada’s ports to tackle transnational organized crime 🇨🇳🇮🇷🇷🇺🇲🇽 Farnworth said a recent report on the infiltration of organized crime at the Port of Vancouver raised a number of serious issues. The report, commissioned by Delta Mayor George Harvie, called for the re-establishment of a uniformed police presence on the docks — something that has not existed since 1997. Farnworth said that reinstating the port police “would be a big step forward.” He also said improved technology could assist in scanning or searching more containers for illicit cargo. “We could be doing an awful lot more than is being done at the present time. It could also be done hand-in-hand with some of the legislation the province is putting in place in terms of unexplained wealth orders and targeting individuals that come up in the course of investigations,” he said. “There’s an opportunity there for the feds to work with the province on this as well.” Postmedia recently visited several countries to investigate the international links of B.C.’s organized criminals. The investigation revealed that groups like the Hells Angels were working closely at the international level with Mexican cartels, Asian organized crime and Middle Eastern groups to export large quantities of illicit drugs to the most lucrative markets. Last year, a record six tons of methamphetamine was intercepted leaving the Port of Vancouver for Australia and New Zealand. “I think there is a need a big need, at the federal level, to take a real look at the ports because quite frankly, I think they’re far too porous,” Farnworth said. [later] Farnworth said he recognizes that since the port police were disbanded, there are gaps in law enforcement on the docks. While the Canada Border Services Agency searches for illicit cargo, “they don’t have the investigative capacity that let’s say the federal RCMP should have.” “But the RCMP has all these vacancies at the federal level. And so there needs to be, in my view, a real focus on fixing those issues,” Farnworth said. “And that means recognizing that ports are a porous sieve for a lot of criminal activity that is taking place in this country, and we need to be doing a far better job of getting a handle on it than we have been to date.” Farnworth suggested that maybe Canada needs a special force to target the highest levels of organized crime involved in the importation and exportation of both precursors and synthetic drugs such as fentanyl. “It comes down to this — there needs to be a political will. And certainly, the province is prepared to step up and work with the feds on it,” he said. https://lnkd.in/eksai8iU

The attached article is accurate. When I was in Laredo, Texas, the Zetas had hit squads that threatened agents and police. This was a legitimate spillover of violence. However, the cartels are no longer limited to the border regions but have expanded their presence to major cities and towns, posing a threat to law enforcement. The article mentions that the cartels are gathering information on law enforcement and officials through social media accounts. In addition to threatening local sheriffs, cartel members are using the internet and social media to track any cargo coming into the U.S. to ensure it goes undetected. Furthermore, human trafficking has become a lucrative business for the cartels, turning them into billionaires and transforming the entire southern border into a drug cartel war zone as they fight for control of the smuggling routes. The cartels ensure that no one crosses the border without paying them. #southwestborder #nationalsecurity #spillover https://lnkd.in/gA2iaDaN

It’s important to read the entire article. You will learn how policies of our federal government are encouraging and subsidizing human trafficking among illegal aliens. Thankful for the resources of cooperative local law enforcement who are working to combat such behavior.
Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd announced hundreds of arrests from a human trafficking sting, in which he alleged the federal government is complicit by flying suspects around the country without requiring identification or paperwork of any kind. #news #sheriff #lawenforcement

It would be interesting to start doing assays of seized fentanyl pills to determine what percentage of the pills contain lethal amounts of fentanyl that would be guaranteed death subsequent to consumption. More accurate content readings over time could also help to establish the source(s) and routes of the inbound drugs ....

HEY ZARETH, WE HAVE YOUR DRUGS! On 6/4 around 1pm, a PCSO Deputy working a Stonegarden detail with the US Border Patrol, Tucson Sector along the I-10 conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for observed traffic violations. During the stop, the driver acted extremely nervous. The Deputy asked for consent to search the vehicle, and the driver granted it. In the back of the vehicle, the Deputy discovered several duffle and shopping bags containing more than 80 pounds of fentanyl pills, that's nearly 360,000 individual pills, and more than 9 pounds of cocaine. Realizing his load had been discovered, the driver took off running. He was able to get away, but he left his driver's license behind. So to 23-year-old Zareth Valdes of Nogales, we have your drugs. We'll be sure to update you when we have his mugshot. #Busted #SheriffLamb #PCSO

13,000 murderers released into our country!....The Democrats own this one.... Kamala is actually visiting the border today. Oh, she's going to fix it now.... Pathetic. #KamalaBorderCzar Quote: In the letter sent to Rep. Gonzales, ICE made several shocking admissions about aliens released into the U.S. as part of the non-detained docket. Over 13,000 aliens have convictions for murder. Another 15,000 have convictions for sexual assault. If that weren’t bad enough, ICE’s letter contained even more detail: 56,000 aliens on the non-detained docket have convictions related to dangerous drugs, 62,000 have convictions for assault; 18,000 have convictions for larceny (theft); 14,000 have convictions for burglary; 13,000 have convictions for weapons offenses, and 2,500 have convictions for kidnapping.
