A bunker in Siachin Glacier caught fire. Captain Anshuman Singh entered the bunker and took out 4 soldiers but got stuck himself. He was awarded Kirti Chakra today. Anshuman Singh was just 26 years old, resident of Deoria district of Purvanchal. His mother and wife received the award on his behalf. We have been seeing his wife on Internet and it is breaking our heart... However, we all have to agree that Captain Anshuman Singh is a true hero. The story of Captain Anshuman Singh teaches us several profound lessons: 1. Selflessness: True heroism often involves putting the needs and lives of others before your own, as demonstrated by Captain Singh's actions. 2. Courage: Facing extreme danger with bravery, even when the outcome is uncertain, is a powerful act of courage. 3. Sacrifice: Sometimes, great achievements and acts of valor come at a personal cost, highlighting the sacrifices made by those who serve. 4. Honour and Recognition: Recognizing and honouring the bravery and sacrifices of individuals ensures their legacy lives on and serves as an inspiration to others. 5. Duty: Fulfilling one's duty with dedication and commitment, regardless of the risks involved, is a hallmark of true service and patriotism. A real hero ♥️

A repost on late Field Marshall Maneckshaw- The- Great. Wonder why he has not been bestowed with a Bharat Ratna till date. They don’t make soldiers like this anymore more as full scale wars shall be limited & rare in the present age; a conflict or an encounter or a border skirmish here or there like Galvan shall be more visible; our adversaries have realised & experienced our strengths with the realissation that full scale war is impossible to win with India & a dragging-on stalemate is more inefficient and unproductive even perhaps counterproductive/ disastrous. 10 years from now our senior leadership shall be without actual battlefront experience ( hopefully, assuming that our politicians and bureaucrats maintain peace in the region unless we are attacked). Such videos, stories, accounts other than the boring Mil-history classes, shall be worth their weight in gold 10 yrs from now. I hope such legacies of the senior military leadership that delivered on the battlefront continues to be told year after year after year. Till that battle cry comes a–calling again, let’s live happily in the age of Sabre- rattling & petty politics by a weak opposition & mumbling senior Presidents.

We need some fact checking here - to say our institutions are protected and underpinned by the monarch would have been correct pre 1975!! This was a big year for Australia. - In 1975, appeals from the High Court of Australia to the Privy Council were abolished in their totality making the High Court the final court of appeal in Australia. - The final constitutional ties between the United Kingdom and Australia ended in 1986 with the passing of the Australia Act 1986. This meant, for example, The Parliament of the United Kingdom could not extended any of its Acts to Australia and that our State Supreme Courts couldn't be appealed to the Privy Council. - While the Governor General has Executive Power under our Constitution, the role can only act on the advice it receives from the Federal Executive Council which is made up of Ministers of the government. All the GG does is ensures that decisions of the government are documented and legally enforceable. There is no Executive Power as described in the Constitution but there is power in the federal executive which is presided over by the Prime Minister, essentially our Head of State.

A heartfelt welcome to Their Majesties, King Charles and Queen Camilla, as they visit Australia. Today, we celebrate not only their presence but the enduring bond between our nations—built on shared values of democracy, freedom, and service. Your Majesties, we welcome you here with our appreciation, our admiration and our affection.

The March 18 Çanakkale Victory took place in 1915. The 109th anniversary of the victory will be celebrated this year, that is, in 2024.🔆🔆🔆🔆 The Battle of Gallipoli is one of the most important events not only in Turkish history but also in world history. Çanakkale War; In the face of the attacks of the world's largest armies with land, air, sea and submarine elements; It symbolizes the great resistance of the Ottoman Empire, which was going through a very troubled period. The Gallipoli War, which was a difficult war, is described as an epic in Turkish history. It went down in history as the victory won by the Turkish nation, as a great victory was achieved with a weaker army against the Allied Powers, which had a strong navy.
Çanakkale Zaferi’nin 109. yılında tüm kahramanlarımızı saygı ve rahmetle anıyoruz.

SIR RATAN NAVAL TATA: THE MAN, THE MYTH, THE LEGEND, THE EPITOME OF KINDNESS If someone were to ask what we can learn from this great man, the list would be endless. One of my dreams was to at least see him from a distance, but now, that will forever remain a distant dream. Mr. Tata is truly the epitome of kindness, a man who devoted his life to doing whatever he could for society, the country, and even animals. One sheer quality I have learned from him is this: "Lead with kindness, not with pride." His life has taught us that humility paired with compassion is a force greater than any power driven by ego. As Mr. Tata once said, “I don’t believe in taking the right decisions, I take decisions and then make them right.” This reflects his willingness to adapt, stay grounded, and grow through challenges rather than boast about achievements. The greatest industrialist of our time has now embarked on a new journey. His legacy reminds us of the quote, “There is no substitute for Greatness,” and that is especially true in his case. He once stated, “Ups and downs in life are very important to keep us going, because a straight line, even in an ECG, means we are not alive.” This philosophy has been the cornerstone of his leadership, making his impact in this world everlasting. As we reflect on his contributions, we can all strive to follow his path, leading not just with success, but with heart.
