UTA clients Jessica Alba and Clara Lago are dominating Netflix this week. Alba’s film “Trigger Warning,” which is the first she’s executive produced through her new production banner, follows a special forces commando who returns to her hometown after her father’s mysterious, sudden death. Her questions surrounding her father’s demise land her in hot water with a violent gang. The movie claimed the top spot with 25.7 million views. Lago’s series, “Gangs of Galicia,” tells the story of Ana as she seeks revenge on a Galician drug cartel and becoming close to its leader after her father’s murder reveals a hidden double life. The series quickly climbed the charts and landed at #1 with 2.9 million views in its first weekend of release.

The quality of acting is like the heartbeat of a film or TV series, defining its success. A stellar performance can elevate a script, engage the audience emotionally, and leave a lasting impact. On the flip side, terrible acting can be a major stumbling block, even if the storyline is top-notch. This are my 10 qualities of a good actor. I like these articles. In turbulent economic times, the real creatives pop up and shine. That is why the big wigs like; (Netflix) are changing their mind. This phenomena happened in 1969 with a film called “Easy Riders”, with actors; Dennis Hopper, Peter Fonda, and Jack Nicholson. All I could say, is great films are coming my friends. This is my personal opinion…I do feel the cycle has come. Indies are going back to business. Good decisions don't make for good cinema. Poor quality decisions lead to drama, plot twists, and comedy. With that, "Decision Reactions", The Decision-Making Studio's regular series in which we watch videos of decisions and break them down using our FOCUS framework, is back! The goal is simple: to get people thinking and talking about what goes into good decisions, and when to spot poor ones. Episode 3 is called "15,000 Cars" which is from the 1980s Ron Howard film "Gung Ho" which stars Michael Keaton. The film is about a down-on-its-luck Pennsylvania factory town that welcomes a Japanese car company. It is filled with poor decisions and we examine one of them here. Enjoy! And you can get in touch to get a copy of our primer on our FOCUS decision-making principles here: https://lnkd.in/eUiGgRB4 #decisionmaking

Writing to excite, explore, provoke and transform. I have a hunger for truth, justice, unity and community.
Question: Have you ever watched a TV show or a Film and been provoked so much that you've changed something in your life (no matter how small)? I am writing an article on why we need certain types of films and wanted to know if change is really possible this way. If it's too personal for here, message me xx
