CEO at IDIA Increasing Diversity by Increasing Access (IDIA) Empowering Leader | Diversity Advocate | Mentor | Lifelong Learner
Meet Tushant Sharma: A Catalyst for Change Many of us see systems we'd like to change but, after the initial anger, often move on, expecting others to take action. Tushant Sharma from our team is different. From a young age, he interacted with people from underprivileged backgrounds and, recognizing his own privileges, wanted to make a real difference. Tushant Sharma found his calling with IDIA Increasing Diversity by Increasing Access (IDIA) to legal education where his vision for change perfectly aligns with our mission of diversity and inclusion. As the co-manager of our Training & Materials verticals and the director in charge of Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, and Jharkhand chapters, Tushant leads by example. Under his guidance, the #IDIA Rajasthan chapter conducted sensitization sessions that reached 1,000 children in Pipar in a single day—a significant achievement for his team and IDIA. Not stopping there, Tushant has tirelessly pushed his teams to expand their reach. Under his leadership, the #IDIA Jharkhand chapter recently sensitized 600 children in one day, and the #IDIA Chhattisgarh chapter conducted 11 sensitizations in a year—more than double their previous annual record. We can’t wait to see what his chapters will pull off next. Tushant's dedication to giving back to the community and empowering children is evident. He is committed to educating as many children as possible, ensuring they have the knowledge and tools to learn about the law. Tushant’s journey reminds us that change begins with each of us taking small steps towards a larger goal. It's up to each one of us to lead the change we want to see in the world. Fun Fact: We often joke that Tushant can sensitize anyone – if you stand still long enough, you might find yourself learning about the law or helping with sensitizations. When he's not empowering children, you'll find Tushant playing cricket, cheering for the Indian Cricket Team, or supporting Manchester United. #Leadership #Inclusion #Education #Empowerment #ChangeMakers #IDIA #Inspiration #CommunityImpact #LeadTheChange

"This #Rakhi, let's tie a knot not just around our wrists, but around our conscience." True brotherhood means protecting more than tradition—it means calling out wrongs and refusing to stay silent. On this Rakhi, as we celebrate the bonds of protection and love, let's go beyond the customary act of tying a Rakhi on our wrists. Let's tie a knot around our conscience—one that binds us to the principles of justice, integrity, and courage. True brotherhood isn't just about offering protection; it's about standing up for what's right, even when it's difficult. It's about speaking out against injustice, whether it affects our family, friends, or society as a whole. Silence in the face of wrongdoing is complicity, and we cannot afford to let our voices be silenced. As we celebrate Raksha Bandhan, let's reflect on the deeper promise we make—to protect more than just each other, but to safeguard the very values that define us. This Rakhi, let's commit to being guardians of not just our loved ones, but also of truth and justice. Together, we can ensure that our actions reflect the strength of our bond and the integrity of our conscience. #RealBrotherhood #StandForJustice #RespectAndProtect #RakshaBandhan2024

Encourage all to visit and support this noble cause especially those in Delhi NCR. Mohit Gupta has explained the details in the post below
This time of the year while there is a cool wave in Northern India, Tanu Shree Singh, a selfless contributor in Faridabad does something which is full of warmth. Without fail and with immense enthusiasm, for last few years she has been organizing ‘Sanjhi Khushi’ – a unique celebration for children from economically weaker sections which is an experiential fete for these children where they go to many stalls and pick up stuff they need such as shoes, sling bags, books etc. etc . I become the shoe wala bhaiya by contributing to the shoe stall. In this crowdsourcing of happiness, Tanu, still needs more support and thus I am requesting all the good souls who are seeing this request to contribute to this annual ritual with whatever amount you think will give you joy and will also add to the cause. To support click the link : https://bit.ly/khushi2023 An attached video is a testimony to how much it means to these children. That smile is something that even visa cant buy, but visa will work on the link 😊 and so would any other format of banking. You can also visit the Kisan Bhawan in Sector 16 Faridabad on 24th of Dec to be part of this amazing celebration. PS : Tanu Shree Singh is the super moderator of one of the biggest Facebook Communities ' Senior Reading Raccoons' and 'Reading Racoons for Children'. She is also the amazing host of a homestay in Tirthan Valley which also has a library. A noted author herself, she does this fete all by her own. #contribute #give #support #children

Celebrating the Bond of Protection and Love: Raksha Bandhan Today, we celebrate Raksha Bandhan, a festival that symbolizes the deep bond of protection, love, and care between siblings. It's more than just a ritual—it's a reminder of the strength and significance of relationships in our lives. In a world where we are constantly pursuing professional success, let’s not forget the value of the personal connections that support us. Relationships, whether with siblings, friends, or colleagues, form the backbone of our emotional well-being and growth. Today is Mahatma Jyotiba Phule's birth anniversary. In 1848, Jyotiba Phule laid the foundation of women’s education in Bhide wada. Bhide wada brought girls from all the castes under one roof, to gain education. Savitribai, Jyotiba’s wife and first student, taught them. Bhide wada was revolutionary in many ways. It challenged the social order where education was only for Brahmin men. It replaced the curriculum of vedas and shashtras with mathematics, science, and social science. The teaching method of Bhide wada was so popular that it gained more number of girl students than the number of boys in govt schools. The Phules established over 18 schools in the country for women from all castes. For this Jyotiba and Savitribai faced ostracisation from their family and society. They had to face violent attacks, people even threw faecal matter at Savitribai because she was out of her house educating dalits and women. Today, Bhide Wada lies in a dilapidated state, unknown to many. Many of us are unaware that our education is owed to the efforts of Jyotiba and Savitribai. They challenged caste barriers, empowering us with education to break free from casteism and gender discrimination, enabling us to live with dignity. This video is in 2 parts. Given below is Part 1 #history #education #dalithistory #indianfeminism https://lnkd.in/g-XipEZ8

In a shocking incident in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, a speeding car crashed into a divider near JK Chauraha on the night of July 27. Locals rushed to assist, only to discover two naked men and a semi-naked woman inside the vehicle, along with four children. The incident occurred while the adults were engaging in a threesome inside the car, allegedly under the influence of alcohol. Bottles of alcohol and other objectionable items were found at the scene. The woman and children sustained injuries and were taken to a hospital for treatment. The police arrived, detained the men, and conducted medical examinations. They were charged with disturbing the peace and fined before being released. A video of the aftermath shows the driver arguing with locals before re-entering the car. The woman was later handed over to her family after being discharged from the hospital. The incident has sparked outrage, particularly due to the presence of the children during the indecent act.
