💡 One key factor in the sustainability debate that I believe deserves more attention is the principles highlighted in the Waste Hierarchy. This since I belevie that these principles are also important in our pursuit of sustainable energy systems.   ♻ The Waste Hierarchy emphasizes the importance of prioritizing waste prevention by reuse, recycling, and energy recovery over disposal. By following this hierarchy, we optimize resource utilization, reduce waste generation, and maximize the value of resources.   ⚡ Also, applying these principles to the energy system ensures efficient utilization of energy resources - from primary energy to excess heat which is the primary by-product of all energy systems.   🌱 Instead of simply discarding waste, we can harness its energy potential through processes such as incineration or anaerobic digestion, contributing to the production of renewable energy. #WasteHierarchy #CircularEconomy 🌍🔥💚
