https://lnkd.in/d9qsD9cc I Conference Europe Educa, Cartagena (Spain), 4-6 June 2025 The 1st Europa Educa Congress was created not only with the aim of sharing innovative experiences and projects, but also to contribute, through new proposals, to achieving the objectives of the new European strategic agenda. Among the core objectives on which the member countries of the European Union base the new challenges of education, “enhancing creativity and innovation” may be the one that guides the new methodologies that must be applied in the classroom. The creation of a common European strategic framework requires the search for new methodologies, resources and applications that provide the student with a promising future as a citizen, a member of a common European space.

Excellent initiative. The Ethical Data Initiative is jointly coordinated by the University of Exeter and the Technical University of Munich. We are a non-partisan platform fostering open discussions on data ethics, informed significantly by philosophical, historical, and social studies of science, with a focus on equity and engagement across different domains of data work for public interest. On 28 June the European Commission published the results of the 2024 Erasmus+ call for the European Universities Initiative. 🗓️🇪🇺📢 14 new alliances have been selected and will each receive up to €14.4 million over a period of four years to establish deep transnational cooperation. The total number of alliances is now 64, with more than 560 higher education institutions across Europe involved as full partners. 🔗🌍💶🎓 The European University Association congratulates its 61 members that are part of these new alliances. In total, 375 of EUA’s nearly 900 members are now full partners in an alliance under the European Universities Initiative. 🎉🏛️🤝 Furthermore, EUA looks forward to collaborating with the newly established Community of Practice for European Universities that was also selected for funding under the 2024 Erasmus+ call. The Community of Practice brings together all alliances to foster peer learning and share good practices and experiences among the alliances and the wider higher education sector. 🔄🌐📚✨ EUA, together with other European stakeholder organisations, is an associated partner to the project. 🌍 Breaking Down Barriers: The Path to a European Degree 🎓 Did you know that several potential barriers stand in the way of implementing a truly European degree? 🤔 According to a European Commission survey of 10 Erasmus+ pilot projects, these hurdles include, for example: 🚧 Incompatible rules on curriculum structure 🚧 Different programme durations for Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees 🚧 Mandatory teaching language requirements 🚧 Incompatible number of semesters that can be spent abroad by students 🚧 Incompatible rules governing recognition of blended/online learning But there's good news! 🎉 The European Commission has proposed steps to overcome these challenges and bring us closer to the vision of a unified European degree, such as: ✅ A European Degree Policy Lab ✅ European Degree Forum ✅ Erasmus+ Support for European Degree Pathway Projects ✅ Erasmus+ Support for a European degree Exploratory Actions As emphasized in the Letta Report, the European degree is a key cornerstone of a possible fifth freedom - the freedom of education, research, and innovation. 🌟 🔗 For further insights, check out our article (SK)👉 https://shorturl.at/crlUM #HigherEducation #EuropeanDegree #ErasmusPlus

3: What nobody tells you about Erasmus evaluations… I remember the first time I submitted an Erasmus proposal. I followed the guidelines religiously, confident I’d nailed it. But the evaluation came back with unexpected comments that left me baffled. Turns out, 26% of evaluations are based on “hidden criteria”—standards that aren’t officially listed. This shocking gap is due to overworked evaluators and blurred lines between programs. If you don’t know the hidden rules, how can you win? It’s an eye-opener that reshaped how I approach projects. Key Insight: Success in Erasmus proposals requires understanding both official and “unofficial” criteria.
