On this day in 1776, our founding fathers united to declare independence from an oppressive government, standing firm against tyranny. Since then, the brave men and women of our military have fought and sacrificed to protect our sovereignty and freedom. Despite our current economic challenges, political divides, and social concerns, we continue to live in the greatest country on earth. We enjoy freedoms that many can only dream of, the ability to live and work in harmony, and the collective power to shape a brighter future for ourselves and our children. Today, we encourage you to cherish your loved ones, thank those who have helped preserve our freedom, and celebrate our great nation.

Observing Juneteenth: What does this mean? 👇 On June 19th, 1865, the Union Army announced that over 250,000 enslaved Black people in the state of Texas were free by executive decree. Among those freed, the day became known as Juneteenth. We will be observing the Juneteenth federal holiday, also known as Jubilee Day, Emancipation Day, Freedom Day, and Black Independence Day. . . . #juneteenth #juneteenth2024 #celebratefreedom #smallbusinessowners #faithbasedbusiness

According to a 2023 RAND study, around a quarter of active-duty servicemembers can be categorized as food insecure. That’s unacceptable. With Honor Action is committed to supporting our nation’s military and their families, which is why we strongly urge Congress to implement our military quality of life priorities as part of the FY25 #NDAA to fix this issue. The markets are closed today in honor of Juneteenth. Even though the Emancipation Proclamation was made effective in 1863, it could not be implemented in places still under Confederate control. As a result, in the westernmost Confederate state of Texas, enslaved people would not be free until much later. Freedom finally came on June 19, 1865, when some 2,000 Union troops arrived in Galveston Bay, Texas. The army announced that the more than 250,000 enslaved black people in the state were free by executive decree. This day came to be known as "Juneteenth," by the newly freed people in Texas. This is another amazing insight from 1964. James Burnham makes the general observation--no pun intended--that few career military men are liberal ideologues. However, this too can change over time. "As liberalism becomes ascendant in public opinion, the soldiers-to-be absorb liberal ideas from the educational process, and after entering military service continue to be bathed in liberal ideas and rhetoric pouring from newspapers, magazines, books, television and sermons. And as liberal civilians move into the positions of governmental power in a nation with a tradition of 'civilian supremacy,' they begin deliberate moves to alter the military mind according to liberal prescriptions, by suitable indoctrination and censorship, demotions or dismissals of stubborn anti-liberals, manipulation of key appointments and so on." ~ James Burnham, Suicide of the West (1964)

As we celebrate our nation’s Declaration of Independence that happened 248 years ago, CONSIDER THIS: The American flag does NOT fly because it represents one political party or another. Our flag and this holiday are a reminder of founding fathers and brave soldiers who fought for our nation’s INDEPENDENCE and the FREEDOM to self-govern under GENUINE DEMOCRACY. It is a reminder for ALL races of our nation’s enduring commitment to JUSTICE, LIBERTY, and the importance of INTEGRITY (in the public eye and behind closed doors). As we navigate the complexities of these times, may we ALL choose to engage in encouraging THOUGHTFUL reflection and DIALOGUE instead of divisiveness. As our pledge of allegiance says: We are ONE nation under God. Isn’t time we started acting like that? . . . #July4th #Independence #OneNationUnderGod

September 11, 2024 The border crisis has been moved, by the Biden/Harris Administration, across America to your state where your state tax dollars will have to deal with all the medical, hospital, educational, housing, crime and other costs for the millions of illegals. An army of terrorist “gotaways” are now in America. An estimated 100,000 gotaways a month, 1,200,000 a year. Are they criminals, sex predators, mentally ill, human traffickers, gang members, drug cartel members, terrorists or sleeper cells? An army of terrorists now in America will make the 911 World Trade Center look like a warm-up and no one is paying attention! Only 19 terrorists to take out the World Trade Center and we have over one million, per year, “gotaways” that crossed the border. Just think what 190,000 terrorists will be able to do. The border and America are not secure. Our cities are not safe. America is not safe.
Today, we remember the immense sacrifices made on September 11th, a day that forever changed our nation. We honor the bravery of the first responders, the strength of the survivors, and the memory of those who perished. On this Patriot Day, let us stand together in unity, as we always have, to remember and to proclaim: Never Forget.

General David Petraeus for President This is America. Voting is a privilege. Every American citizen should be equally free to vote. I am making myself a promise that I will take the privilege of voting much more seriously. I will be an informed voter. I will vote for candidates with real qualifications and great "doable" ideas for the future. One concern I have is that neither of the current assumed candidates have military backgrounds. In todays environment we need someone in the White House with military experience. We have had some great presidents with impressive military backgrounds. We need David Petraeus now. This is a picture of General Petraeus and me, Darrell Griffin. I have been asked if David is a Democrat or a Republican. After much research I don't know. Socially I think he leans Democrat and fiscally and military wise I think he leans Republican. Find the entire article at PureAudacity.com as the latest blog post.

ISG, along with the entire United States Department of Defense, recognizes June 19, 2024 as Juneteenth National Independence Day, the commemoration and recognition of the end of African American slavery in the United States. While the Emancipation Proclamation had officially freed enslaved people more than two years prior, it wasn’t until the end of the Civil War that Union troops had the full strength to enforce General Order No. 3 in the once Confederate states, such as Texas. When U.S. Army General Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston, Texas, after the U.S. Civil War to issue General Order No. 3 and secure the Union Army's authority over Texas, he spoke not just of freedom but "an absolute equality of personal rights" for all former slaves. The emancipation of enslaved Black Americans was not the end of our work to deliver on the promise of equality — it was only the beginning. On Juneteenth, we recommit to our shared work to ensure racial justice, equity, and equality in America. #DSCA #ISG #DSCU #securitycooperation #departmentofdefense #juneteenth #juneteenth2024
