HEALTHCARE DISPARITIES IN USA AT ALL-TIME HIGH STAT - In January 2020, Uché Blackstock, MD called out disparities in USA healthcare for black doctors and black Americans. Five years later, the problems have gotten far worse under the current administration in the USA. Per The Guardian, there is now a THIRTY-YEAR lifespan disparity between the North side of Chicago and the South side of Chicago - https://lnkd.in/gBDGxu-Y We also have cross-cultural disparities and immigration disparities in healthcare in #RuralAmerica. GFBI™ and GPBI™ has sourced that Apollo Global Management, Inc. and Ares Management Corporation are among the PE firms leading the rebuilding of healthcare and #HospitalSystems in Rural America. And USA Department of the Treasury and CFIUS are working hard to prevent the #Offshoring of Hospital Systems in the USA and related #IT. The UnitedHealthcare and Change Healthcare "false flag" operation was a direct response to foreign enemies to the USA controlling WSHA and Alaska Hospitals (with a chokehold on USA Attorney Generals). This is triple sourced. The May 15, 2024 WSHU letter attacking UNH and Change Healthcare was signed by 24 USA Attorney Generals. Meanwhile, WSHA and Alaska Hospital Association were trying to OFFSHORE Healthcare and IT on the West Coast to foreign enemies, with complicit USA state government engaged in #Treason. State rights end when treason is being committed. We have to go all the way macro to understand why there are disparities in healthcare, and it is because we are at War. Americans are inherently good people and not racist people. I grew up in and right outside of Chicago in a great melting pot during decades of overwhelmingly great racial unity and cross-cultural pride. But, Dr. Blackstock's article is even more relevant going into 2025 than it was in mid-January 2020. Far too common for clinicians, who are also phenomenal teachers, to drop out of academia due to systemic and systematic racism. I’ve come across so many Black faculty, regardless of discipline, who report similar situations. “Black faculty members have cited lack of mentorship and sponsorship, barriers to promotion and advancement, and lack of supportive — and sometimes hostile — work environments as factors in their attrition from academic medical centers. In addition to the typical obligations of academic faculty, they are often expected or told to execute “diversity” efforts such as chairing diversity committees, mentoring minority trainees, and the like, and then are rarely recognized or compensated for this invaluable work.”

"I want us to move from a race-based medical system to a race-conscious medical system. What that means is we don't use race as a way to treat people differently, but we understand how race leads people to be treated differently by the systems and policies that exist." "Today and tomorrow's research scientists aren't just scientists anymore.. it's going to take a new type of physician to understand how social issues and medical issues come together in order to form a better healthcare system." Very informative. The research industry is moving towards paying more attention to diversity in clinical trial recruitment. How can we guard against drawing race-based conclusions from this data and support a race-conscious mindset? I think the key is in focusing on outcomes data, particularly clinical endpoints and quality of life measures rather than surrogate biomarkers. This type of data is harder to collect, but is important to achieve health equity.

'Move from a race based medical system to a race conscious based system' Transitioning from a race-based medical framework to a race-conscious approach represents a significant paradigm shift. This reframing enables us to critically examine our systems and policies, directing our focus toward the necessary institutional changes required to ensure equitable treatment for all individuals. Our NHS currently operates on a medical model that is not fit for purpose for everyone. It is essential to scrutinise these practices, policies and reflect on the evidence that underpins them. Questioning established structures and conducting audits to assess their relevance in contemporary society is not only acceptable but vital for progress.
