Have you ever planned a trip but still ended up running late for a meeting because your ride-hailing driver couldn't locate the destination? The root of this issue often lies in inaccurate addressing. Without reliable addresses and precise geocoding, achieving optimal efficiency becomes a challenge. Unfortunately, in many regions, addressing systems are: ❌ Inaccurate ❌ Inconsistent ❌ Lack of context ❌ Non-standardized ❌ Not up-to-date At UNL, we have developed a universal language for locations and addressing that allows drivers to find the correct pick-up and drop-off with hyperlocal precision of 1x1cm2 and calculate accurate ETAs, helping drivers reach on schedule, even where addressing data is missing, incomplete or inaccurate. Get in touch with us at hi@unl.global to discover how you can ensure more reliable trips and minimize frustration for both customers and drivers 🚀

I have driven 4,000+ miles over the past ten days, and I'm convinced that it's impossible to get to a place in the time estimated by navigation systems without driving constantly over the speed limit. I guess that modern navigation systems collect data in real time from drivers, who, on average, drive about ten mph above the limit. I also suspect drivers may feel pressured to speed to match the navigator's estimated arrival time, contributing to the problem. I'd love an option to use the speed limits to calculate the shortest possible travel time. The estimated time displayed by the navigator should be adjusted based on traffic conditions but should never be lower than the shortest “legal” travel time.

Founder & CEO, Inspectigence B.V. | Harnessing AI & Crowd-Sourced Data for Safer Roads | Empowering Citizens to Make Impact | Pioneering Predictive Maintenance
🚗 𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝗗𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗚𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝗿? 𝗨𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀! 📈 In this analysis, we delved into the trends of traffic accidents on Dutch national highways managed by Rijkswaterstaat. The findings are intriguing, shedding light on crucial aspects of road safety and management. The bar chart race illustrates a fluctuating pattern from 2003 to 2022. Initially, we observed a decline in accidents up to 2010, followed by a notable increase in subsequent years. Notably, the pandemic-induced lockdowns in 2020 and 2021 led to a temporary reduction in accidents, reflecting the impact of reduced traffic volume. However, despite these fluctuations, a dominant increasing trend is evident in recent years, emphasizing the need for proactive measures to address road safety challenges. Some highways, such as A205 and A208, exhibit disproportionately high accident rates per kilometer due to their shorter length as a connection between two other highways. Similarly, the bustling A10 highway encircling Amsterdam presents unique challenges given its heavy traffic flow. At Inspectigence, we're collaborating with Rijkswaterstaat to collect data on the 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 along these highways. By enhancing the availability and clarity of markings, we aim to provide drivers with better guidance and improve overall road safety. Moreover, our innovative approach involves engaging drivers in data collection efforts through our proposed smartphone application, fostering a culture of safety awareness and proactive participation. We encourage drivers to make an impact by collecting data, thereby contributing to our mission. We anticipate that these collective efforts will yield tangible results in the form of reduced accidents and lives saved in the years to come. https://lnkd.in/dcqhKmJk 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗿𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀? 🛣️ #RoadSafety #DataAnalysis #Rijkswaterstaat #TrafficAccidents #TrafficSafety #RoadSafety #Municipalities #DataForChange #Inspectigence #Inspectimark #RoadMarkings I made this bar chart race with https://flourish.studio/

🚦 Attention drivers! If you ever find yourself entering an intersection and notice the traffic light is out, remember these crucial steps: 1. Treat it as a 4-way stop: Proceed cautiously and treat the intersection as if it has stop signs in all directions. This means yielding to any vehicles already in the intersection and waiting your turn to proceed. 2. Be patient: Take your time to assess the situation and ensure it’s safe to proceed before entering the intersection.
