Brand Strategist / Creative director

My friends are used to my humor, so they'll know this isn't a political endorsement of any party. Today, I joked with a friend about the current situation (even if it’s not really funny at all). I said, "I’m just waiting for the first hearing aid brand to jump on this." Right after that, I started questioning myself—is this even okay to joke about? Or is there a line we shouldn't cross in situations like this? Personally, I think if you’re not harming or directly insulting anyone (and if your intentions are good—whether you’re driven by pure capitalism or you genuinely believe in a greater good), humor in marketing—even of the darker variety—can be one of the most genuine and positive things out there. Of course, it depends on the brand’s identity and voice. But to be honest, I’d rather see and hEAR brands with some personality (even if they’re walking on the edge) than boring, bland brands. What’s your take on this? Did you hEAR me, or should I repeat lauder? P.s.: Neuroth I am giving you full permission to reuse this. 😂
