Cofounders Julian Hengsteler & Til Schlotter, in collaboration with Nako Nakatsuka, Ph.D., published this exciting paper demonstrating their technology's ability to target specific amino-acids on peptides with their aptamer-functionalized interface nanopores. 🔍 Key Breakthroughs: 🐢 Slowing down peptide movement to enhance resolution: By slowing down peptide translocation events, their integrated amino acid-specific DNA aptamers ensure single amino acid resolution is achievable. 🎯 Reducing variability in nanopore size: Their innovative approach addresses the variability in solid-state nanopore size & shape, introducing dynamically tunable pores for enhanced sensing accuracy and reproducibility. 🌐 With the possible integration of serial nanopores and additional amino acid-specific aptamers, full #proteinsequencing could be possible!
