𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗖𝘂𝗽! ✈️ I'll be traveling to Uvalde, Texas, to support Werner Rüegger as he represents the Swiss 🇨🇭 National team in the 38th FAI World Gliding Championship. It's an honor to see all the hard work, data, and preparation come together on the global stage by him and his crew. In the lead-up to the event, I had the privilege of working on data analysis for the gliding team. 📊 The insights we gathered can help for strategic planning and performance optimization, although the pilots are still the most important part 😀 . If you're interested in the data-driven approach we took, check out my findings, which I've published as a PDF (attached) and on Medium. Two key insights emerged from our analysis: • 𝗢𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲: Our clustering analysis revealed that taking off around 1:30 PM consistently results in higher flight points. This insight could be a game-changer for strategic planning during the competition. • 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁: The linear regression model showed that focusing on specific regions, such as Uvalde, significantly improves the accuracy of performance predictions. FISU at TAFISA Congress and Interact+ Meeting in Düsseldorf The TAFISA Congress, held from 1-5 November in the German city of Düsseldorf, brought together sports organizations, experts and stakeholders from around the world to discuss the theme “Sport for All: More together than ever”.   The Interact+ meeting also took place within the scope of this congress and under the umbrella of the Erasmus+ programme. A week ago, I worked on a 120 years Olympics dataset to predict the number of medals of 2024 Olympic medals. From my Exploratory Data Analysis and findings, I gave a projection that USA is most like going to have the highest number of medals. My inference is correct. The 2024 Paris Olympics ends with USA with highest number of medals. There is power in historic data ● You can use the historic data of your business or company to promote growth of that business or company ● You can use historic data of your business or company to reduce future risks ● You can use pattern and trends to make informed decisions
