The world is experiencing significant political upheavals that have reshaped our understanding of what is needed to ensure secure and resilient operations. In this landscape, cyber and outer space cannot be underestimated, as they play a central role in defence and security. Therefore, SecD-Day — a conference and exhibition organised by PIA - Finnish Defence and Aerospace Industries — is a highly important event, and ReOrbit is honoured to take an active part in it, promoting the role of space in defence. Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming Mr. Antti Häkkänen, Minister of Defence of Finland, to our booth. At ReOrbit, we are committed to delivering certainty in an uncertain world by building software-enabled satellites for secure communications. "The underwater domain is a relevant geopolitical space and a promising field for future economic development. The Polo Nazionale della dimensione Subacquea is both a physical and technological hub, and our collaboration with the Navy significantly accelerates the development of cutting-edge technologies and enhances our expertise." Our CEO, Pierroberto Folgiero, spoke at the Space & Underwater Conference, promoted and organized by Cybersecurity Italia, to discuss the new challenges and opportunities in the submarine domain. In his speech, titled “Underwater: Challenges and Development of the New Subsea Domain”, he addressed pivotal themes such as the key role of cross-fertilization between civilian and military sectors, fostering the creation of dual-use technologies, which have always been part of our DNA, underlining the importance of solid collaborations with other leaders in the underwater sector. We are proud to leverage our historical expertise and energy to bring on board cutting-edge technological solutions, and to maintain a leading role in the underwater domain, in order to meet the challenges of the future. #Fincantieri #FutureOnBoard #Innovation #Underwater CybersecurityItalia

Our team is at the Defence24 Days event in Warsaw, Poland this week, a country of immense strategic importance to us, as we establish our European Production Hub in Gdansk later this year. About speaking at the event, our Richard Coomber said: “Galvion has been at the forefront of imagining the possibilities of integrated systems and is a part of forward-looking programs with Tier 1 customers in the U.S. and the UK. We started this 15 years ago, really buying into the idea that helmets were about to move from a protective product, something that just sits there and passively defeats projectiles, to something that's survivable, something that allows you to see in the dark, to communicate, to identify yourself to friendly forces, to integrate modern capabilities like head-up displays, sensors, emitters, and computation on the helmet, towards every soldier becoming a true sensor node. These enhancements will exponentially increase the soldier’s survivability and lethality and therefore mission success. Today, we are seeing this vision become a reality, and we are excited to have the opportunity to discuss these important topics at Defence24 Days.” L-R in this photo: Dean Boston, Alex Hooper, Richard Coomber, Robin Barnett, Peter S. Gatehouse Satcom is ready to shape the future of space defense! In today’s fast-changing space landscape, where technology meets strategy, Space Defence & Security Summit 2024 (Organized by Novaspace Summits (Merger of Euroconsult and SpaceTec Partners) is where the real conversations about the future of space defense and security will happen. We're thrilled to be part of this key event on September 17-18, where global leaders will gather to rethink how we defend and secure the final frontier. As military organizations increasingly rely on commercial #SATCOM technologies, the benefits are clear—faster deployment, cutting-edge advancements, and more cost-effective, flexible solutions to meet the ever-changing needs of defense missions. At Gatehouse Satcom, we’re at the forefront of this shift, offering innovative solutions designed to support the most demanding operations. #SDSS24 will be the place to connect, collaborate, and lead the conversation on how commercial and defense sectors can work hand-in-hand to ensure robust, secure space communications for the future. Make sure to reach out to our Commercial Director, Ole Madsen, or Commercial VP, Jesper Noer, if you would like to speak with us at SDSS 2024. Let’s meet in the heart of Paris, share ideas, and discuss how we can continue to bridge the gap between commercial technology and military applications.🗼🛰️

One of the standout moments at last week's Indo-Pacific Space and Earth Conference and Exhibition was the panel session on "AUKUS and Space Technologies in Defence: Strategic Innovations and Geopolitical Implications." which emphasized the critical need for multi-orbit resilience in Australia. Catherine Roberts AO, CSC highlighted the importance of multiple networks for mesh links in contested environments. At Av-Comm Space & Defence, we are proud to be at the forefront of this innovation. Our team has been dedicated to developing a terminal that meets these exact needs. Entirely Australian-made, our Cassowary terminal is agnostic to satellite operators and frequency bands, ensuring robust and versatile connectivity. 🔎 Learn more on our website: https://lnkd.in/gv3E2YVm 📽️ FULL VIDEO: https://lnkd.in/gm9z_htm Gary Hale, David Ball, Catherine Roberts AO, CSC, Marissa E.
