## The Oasia Hotel Downtown: A Lush Green Oasis in the Heart of Singapore 🌿🌆 The Oasia Hotel Downtown, designed by award-winning architecture firm WOHA, stands out as a stunning example of sustainable urban design. This innovative tower features an incredible Green Plot Ratio of 1,100%, with over 5,000 square meters of greenery spread across sky gardens and terraces. The building's unique design not only creates a beautiful oasis in the city, but also delivers tangible environmental benefits: - Reduces surrounding temperatures by up to 50% 🌡️ - Recreates a 30% rainforest-like microclimate 🌧️🌴 - Supports biodiversity by providing habitats for insects, birds, and squirrels 🐦🐿️ The facade is covered in 21 different species of creepers, strategically placed based on their sunlight preferences, wind resilience, and growth rates. In total, the building incorporates 54 species of plants and trees, enhancing biodiversity in the heart of Singapore's bustling city center. This living tower redefines the concept of urban tropics, showcasing the incredible potential of green architecture to create healthier, more sustainable cities. Cutting down forests in Tengah, Lentor and Dover East to intensify greenery on buildings will still result in a net increase in ambient temperatures and a weakening of climate resilience. In view of the climate crisis and biodiversity loss, we need to protect Tengah forest from further destruction while focusing on redeveloping previously developed areas instead. Shang Summit: The new pinnacle of luxury living BY REY ILAGAN | Manila Bulletin Shang Properties Inc. (SPI) continues to redefine the industry with its latest venture, Shang Summit in Quezon City, offering residents the pinnacle of comfort and its brand signatures. 2023 was a historic year for SPI, surpassing pre-pandemic figures and marked by the launch of two award-winning developments: Laya by Shang Properties and Haraya Residences, both in Pasig City. Previously, the developer introduced new properties only every few years. In 2024, Shang Properties is set to celebrate two significant milestones: its first development in Quezon City with Shang Summit, and an inaugural project in Cebu, the Queen City of the South. The 80-story Shang Summit will be a crowning achievement for Shang Properties, setting a new record as the tallest residential development in the Philippines.
