News Alert! We are delighted to announce the appointment of Michele (Mitch) Oliver(she/her) as our new Chair. Mitch brings a wealth of leadership experience in the corporate and non-profit sectors in the UK and globally. She has a proven track record of advocating for women and girls, gender equality, LGBTQ+ rights and promoting inclusive leadership. She has led significant advancements in diversity, inclusion, and equity within the organisations she has worked in.  Mitch commented on her new role, saying, "As someone who is passionate about UN Women’s work to deliver a gender equal world, I am honoured to have the chance to contribute as Chair of UN Women UK - who are at the forefront of creating a more equal future. Whilst progress has been made, we still have so far to go.  We must continue to work tirelessly together to create a world where every woman and girl can live in safety, free from discrimination and with equal opportunity to reach her full potential. I am excited to work with, for and on behalf of our diverse community of women and girls."
