This ambitious project not only focuses on farming practices but also integrates the broader agriculture ecosystem, including finance and retail sectors, to ensure a holistic approach to sustainability. 🌾 Climate Farm Demo is creating a vast network by bringing together 1,500 farmers across Europe. These dedicated individuals are on the front lines, demonstrating innovative and climate-friendly farming practices that pave the way for a more sustainable agricultural future. 📊 ClimateSmartAdvisors is empowering advisors with the tools and knowledge to deliver bespoke climate-smart advice. By enhancing the capacity of advisors, the project ensures that farmers receive the support they need to implement effective and sustainable practices. By using Total Controlled Environment Agriculture, growers can maintain precision control over plants, offering local communities varied, nutrient-rich produce all year round.

I love when you read, hear, or come across something that genuinely makes you stop and think... While working and listening to the Vertical Farming Podcast (controlled-environment agriculture is a fascinating industry/movement), I heard the host and his guest, Rick Langille from Harvest Today, mention something that really made me think... Paraphrasing, but they said: "...people eat salads because they don't fill you up, but no one stops to ask, why don't they fill you up?" Most plants lose over 50% of their nutritional value in under 72 hours. CEA (controlled-environment agriculture) is the future of farming. When you think about it, there is no need to be shipping greens across great distances, it's just the existing system we are all used to, so we don't often think to question it. I rethink existing management and compliance systems to make them faster, more dynamic, and more efficient. So, this is something that really speaks to me, rethinking long standing existing systems/processes.
